Job DescriptionAbout the role
Join Americold as a Warehouse Material Handling Technician and keep the food supply moving. Working under general supervision, you'll ensure accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of food products using a range of powered industrial trucks and RF technology.
Core responsibilities
Load/unload inbound and outbound freight with sit-down and stand-up forklifts, stand-up straddle trucks, walk-behind equipment, and single/double pallet jacks.
Place product in designated storage, stack and store safely, and pick/assemble orders for shipment.
Verify freight against documentation; check for accuracy, damage, and infestation; label, sort, wrap, pack, and repack as needed.
Operate all equipment to OSHA standards, prioritizing safe behaviors at all times.
Consistently meet production targets while maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
Support additional tasks: cycle counts/inventory, facility cleaning, forklift battery changes, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred.
3+ months of related warehouse or forklift experience preferred.
Self-starter able to work independently with strong attention to detail and deadline focus.
Dependable attendance with willingness to work overtime, evenings, or weekends and attend assigned meetings.
