Field Technician / Inspectors
GeoTek is looking for experienced and entry level field technicians and inspectors to join our Hayden, ID office. We are looking at hiring individuals willing to work outside performing field testing in the construction industry, must have a truck, van, suv or similar type vehicle you are able to carry around a wheelbarrow and/or other equipment used for taking samples (we pay you for the use of your own vehicle). SUMMARY:
Performs a variety of testing, project specific observations, and site assessment duties. Operates equipment, conducts tests/assessments and reports data. Works from drawings, specifications, diagrams, schematics and specific verbal and written instructions. Uses specific methods to observe site activities and take samples and perform tests. Makes minor adjustments and modifications as needed.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:
Effectively communicate with Supervisor and Dispatch to obtain daily work assignments. Prepares daily and data reports of testing and inspections. Competent in the performance of all tests and inspections assigned. Prepares and submits company documents related to the projects. Daily prepares and submits own time sheet for approval. Obtains proper field authorizations are signed by the client when required or when work beyond the original scope is requested. Advises Supervisor or Project Manager of any changes in work scope or of any potential budget over runs. Maintains positive business relationships with clients, contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers, etc.
REQUIRMENTS:
*Valid Driver's License.
*ACI Field Grade 1
*Nuke Guage certification
*Ability to accomplish tasks under adverse weather and/or site conditions.
*May be required to work in confined spaces and climb and work at above average heights.
*Good or corrected vision and manual dexterity.

Summary of Position

Responsibilities

Inspect assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended - may include road tests.
Clearly communicate with service advisor if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
Connect with Parts Department to obtain needed parts and reports status of parts to service advisor.
Use approved repair techniques and materials to service each vehicle to pre-concern condition.
Ensure appearance of customers' vehicles is maintained or improved - notify service advisor of any change in the appearance or condition of the vehicle.
Report machinery defects or malfunctions and maintain all dealership-owned tools and manuals. Operate all tools and equipment safely.
Complete manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events as requested. Keep up to date on technical bulletins.
Qualifications
Able to perform day-to-day service activities in a technician environment.
Have at least 2 years' experience working as GM Technician and provide his or her own tools. Must be able to furnish GM Training records.
Previous experience as a general electrical, transmission, and/or diesel technician is preferred.
Be able to lift up to fifty (50) lbs without assistance and stand, sit, bend, and twist for extended periods of time on concrete.
Have strong attention to detail and be organized.
A self-motivated team player that is able to communicate effectively with team members and works well with other technicians and service advisors.
Have a valid driver's license and able to drive both automatic and manual vehicles
Pass a motor vehicle report and possess a safe driving record.

What You'll Do: In this key role, you'll work under the supervision of the Division Manager and Lead Worker to process complex property documents and ensure compliance with legal and statutory requirements. Your work will be crucial in supporting the Assessor's Office, ensuring accurate assessment of real property across the area. Key duties include:
* Document Monitoring & Analysis: Review and interpret Recorder's Office documents daily, identifying records that need processing by the Assessor's Office divisions.
* Legal Description Interpretation: Read and interpret various legal descriptions (lot & block, metes and bounds, etc.) to identify properties impacted by recorded documents.
* Data Entry & Auditing: Perform accurate data entry into the Assessment and Tax database, including name/address changes, splits, merges, and property ownership updates.
* Research & Problem Resolution: Conduct in-depth research to ensure accurate property descriptions and resolve issues related to deed processing and legal descriptions.
* Public Assistance: Assist the public and Assessor's Office staff with questions about plats, property addresses, and descriptions.
* Workflow Improvement: Collaborate with your team to identify more efficient ways to process documents and streamline workflows across divisions.
* Reporting: Create and submit monthly reports on your completed tasks to keep everyone up to date on progress.
What We're Looking For: To excel in this role, you'll need a strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of legal and property documentation, and the ability to work independently while contributing to a team. Our ideal candidate has:
* Education: Associate's degree or certification in a related field (Business Education, Surveying, GIS, etc.) and at least three years of experience working with real property title or land records (or a combination of education and experience).
* Experience: Previous experience in real property title or land records is preferred but not required.
* Skills: Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work with legal documents and data management systems. Proficiency in technology and document imaging systems is a plus.
* Certifications: Must complete Idaho State Tax Commission (STC) Appraisal Course 1 within 12 months and obtain STC Cadastral Mapping Certification within 3 years.

**Requirements:**
+ Bachelor's degree in a Life Science or Medical Technology

EDUCATION
