What you'll be doing:
As a Maintenance Technician 2 you will perform preventative and spontaneous maintenance on conveyors, electrical motors, material handling equipment, skill saws, propane torch, man-lift, hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, grinders, electrical test equipment and ladders as well as lift equipment jacks, chargers, and batteries.
In your role, you will perform general building maintenance including overhead doors, construction repair, roll carts, floor repair and second level gates, doors, etc... You will perform light plumbing maintenance and perform carpentry assignments as needed.

* Set up and operate equipment for laser marking, laser welding, blasting, buffing, polishing, assembly, and deburring
* Maintain average machine set-ups and targeted rates per hour efficiencies
* Perform preventative maintenance to ensure consistent machine performance
* Finish products in accordance with customer, regulatory, and company requirements

Job Summary:
Liberty Tire Recycling is looking for a Millwright Fabricator/Industrial Equipment Maintenance Technician. As the Millwright Fabricator/Industrial Equipment Maintenance Technician, you would be responsible for preventative maintenance, fabrication, welding, diagnosis, and repairs to the company recycling production equipment and/or other equipment as deem necessary. Your expertise will ensure the efficiency and safety of our operations, contributing to our commitment to high standards and effective recycling processes at our Savage, MN. facility. We are looking for individuals who can work a varying schedule.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Processing/Operations: Responsible for the alignment, adjustment, maintenance and repair of processing equipment, facilities, and heavy equipment. Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain tire grinders, compressors, various styles of conveyors and other electro-mechanical systems. Apply knowledge of machinery and tools, including welding equipment, digital volt meters and other similar industrial equipment.
Preventive Maintenance Program: Maintain perpetual maintenance program for all facility and plant equipment; perform predictive maintenance functions including testing, inspection, and lubrication of moving equipment. Understand and follow a work order maintenance system.
Support the installation of new equipment including wiring, platforms, shredders, and other process/safety equipment.
Skills and Abilities:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Understand and follow all OSHA and site-specific safety programs.
3 - 5 years of experience working with heavy equipment, production and processing equipment.
Ability to work in a busy and changing environment both inside and outside in all seasons.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds and periodically lift 80 pounds.
Welding certification is preferred.
Education and Experience:
Prior experience in the tire recycling or manufacturing industry is a plus.

Pay Range

Actual compensation will depend on factors such as skills, relevant experience, education, internal equity, business needs, and local market conditions. While the full hiring range is shared for transparency, offers are rarely made at the minimum or maximum of the range.
