Responsibilities:
Perform routine preventative and corrective maintenance and testing on equipment
Perform maintenance tasks to include repairing and improving, from minor rebuilds to major overhauls on all equipment
Identify processing waste reduction opportunities and assist in reduction projects
Participate in preventative maintenance program to help reduce costs of operations through PM optimization
Dismantle, clean, repair and test electrical, electronic and mechanical components to determine component-level failure
Communicate, coach, and train employees to continuously improve team's ability to prevent loss of production and respond safely to equipment failures
Maintain preventative maintenance logs and accurate records of all testing and repairs
Recommend equipment to be included in preventive maintenance programs
Perform preventative maintenance tasks to identify all potential mechanical and electrical issues with equipment throughout the plant
Rebuild worn-out, but reusable, pieces of equipment, such as gearboxes for scheduled PM's
Troubleshoot, investigate, and repair all mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic machine systems
Eliminate machine failures from recurring by utilizing the Breakdown Analysis process
Focus areas will include but are not limited to Production support, Mechanical Room, Water Processing, Boiler Room, and Wastewater Treatment Water Chemical Treatment Program
Qualifications:
Ability to pass a Ramsay aptitude test
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience; additional technical training or certifications desired
Three or more years proven maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
Prior experience with high-and low-pressure compressors, chillers, water treatment, boilers is preferred
Strong technical knowledge of compressed air systems (pneumatics), electrical systems, hydraulics and water processing is preferred
Knowledge of bottling equipment, PM programs and SAP system preferred
Must have electrical knowledge of single and three phase power including the ability to diagnose and replace electric motors
Must be able to work and accomplish projects with little to zero supervision
Must be able to foster and build a team-work environment
Communicate effectively with operators, technicians, mechanics, and supervisors
Able to read, interpret, and analyze computer generated reports and accurately complete all tasks
Must be able to do physical inspections of equipment that will require climbing, reaching, and extending arms overhead
Able to lift and pull 50 lbs. as needed while performing work
Must be proficient reading mechanical drawings / schematics and OEM technical prints
Proficient computer skills, including the use of Microsoft Office applications
Available for call-ins or to cover all shifts to support production teams as required
Work together with Safety department to achieve a zero-injury workplace
Must display a positive mental attitude and be open to a fast paced ever changing work environment

One of our clients, a US-based, end-of-the-line packaging equipment manufacturer, is seeking a Field Service Technician in the greater El Paso, Texas area due to growth and expansion. The company has 30+ machines at the three customer locations with 10 more machines on bid.
The Role:
For first 1-2 years, on-site at the three Mt. Franklin Foods operations in El Paso, Geronimo and Juarez, Mexico performing equipment maintenance, service, repairs, new system installation and product training.
Must also be able to travel anywhere in the US, Mexico and Canada on an as-needed basis
Will average 10-20 hours a week in overtime
Responsibilities:
Troubleshooting and repairing a wide variety of systems:
mechanical (motors, gear boxes, drives, pneumatics, hydraulics, and actuation systems)
electrical (wiring, switches, sensors, and relays)
PLC (AB/ControlLogix, Siemens Pack Control)
The ideal candidate:
3-5 years of packaging machinery (VFFS or case packing machines desired) service/maintenance and repair experience AND strong mechanical and electrical skills
Must have the ability to troubleshoot AB and/or Siemens PLCs including:
Programming
IP addresses
Codes/alarms
Interfaces
Must be a US citizen with a current passport, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record
Must speak fluent Spanish
Compensation:
$35 - $41/hour + overtime after 40 hours

Primary Objective

Semper Valens Solutions is looking for a Telecommunications/Electronics Technician to organize and lead telecommunications installations on the Customer site. The Telecommunications/Electronics Technician will perform site surveys and document current site telecommunications configuration and user requirements.
The Technician will design and optimize telecommunications topologies, direct and lead development of engineering installation packages and project drawings, and develop equipment and system test plans. The Technician will be responsible for the development of the on-site installation schedules, mobilization of the telecommunications installation team, and will direct and lead documentation of the configuration changes at each site.
Responsibilities:
Perform surveys and assessments in accordance with the requirements for survey and design of LAN/WLAN upgrades identified in the latest design plan.
Perform pre-survey tasks to include:
Participate in the Same Page pre-deployment for Survey and Pre-Deployment Site Survey meetings.
Ensure personnel have the appropriate hard and soft copy drawings and programs to view, print and modify the drawings as needed.
Review all site-specific documentation including the historic site documentation.
Submit a Daily Site Survey Report to accurately reflect survey activities.
Complete an Outbuildings Connectivity (OBC) Spider Diagram Drawing.
Survey the WLAN devices, infrastructure and radio frequency (RF) signatures. Includes using AirMagnet Survey Pro and predictive heat mapping.
Heat map the location and use the information for the preliminary prediction of AM placements for all locations requiring new WLAN AM placements
Perform fiber/copper cable testing during the survey.
Utilize fiber cleaning pens on the fiber before testing and report fiber and copper cable test results.
Ensure clear and readable pictures in accordance with the Digital Picture.
Collect, verify, and organize all network configurations for both LAN and WLAN.
Physically inspect each proposed cable pathway for any new proposed LAN Work Area Outlet (WAO) or AP/AM outlets. The Technician shall document the type of penetration required and the composition and fire-rating of the physical wall/ceiling/floor to be penetrated.
Survey and inspect all CMR/SEA communications rooms and associated infrastructure for proper grounding and bonding in accordance with the latest version of the DHA TR&G.
Ensure all CMR/SEA cabinets, equipment racks, ladder rack, cable trays/baskets, and/or backbone conduits are properly bonded to the Primary Bonding Busbar (PBB) or Secondary Bonding Busbar (SBB).
Survey all power receptacle types, plug types, power distribution units (PDUs) and UPS systems supporting LAN/WLAN equipment. UPS make/model, size, age, current power load (percentage), serviceability, network monitoring capability, bonding/grounding and battery capacities shall be captured during the survey process.
Complete survey close-out activities after all survey activities and prior to the scheduled onsite out brief. Will require remaining onsite until Customer acceptance of close-out activities.
Education/Experience:
Must have 2 years of telecommunications /electronics vocational training or professional certification from an ABET accredited technical school or equivalent military school and 5 years' experience in two or more of the specialties identified. A substitution for training may be applied with 10 years of experience in two or more of these specialties.
Familiarity with the following technologies is required: Cisco, Juniper, or Ruckus, switches, wireless LAN controllers, and wireless access points/air monitors connected with CAT 5e/6 copper or single/multimode fiber. Additional equipment includes PDUs and UPS's.
IT/ADP Level I or IT/ADP Level II.
Proficient at trouble-shooting problems with telecommunications equipment to include system interfaces and power/ground issues.
Experience in troubleshooting and activating circuits and preparing test reports.
Proficient in using common test equipment (e.g. digital and Ethernet test sets, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power meters/analyzers).
Proficient in testing communications and power equipment/systems and following standard test procedures.
Experience performing surveys and assessments in accordance with requirement for LAN/WLAN design upgrades.
Experience performing pre-survey tasks.
Willing to travel in performance of required work responsibilities.
Clearance:
DoD Secret Clearance required based on Tier III investigation.

Academic Excellence -- You have graduated with a high school/equivalent plus a civil technology or survey technology degree, or a related technical field.
Technical Proficiency - You are fluent in AutoCAD Civil 3D software on site development grading and drainage plan production, pipeline alignments, and roadway alignments and grading. You have knowledge and capabilities in the use of ArcGIS.
Attention to Detail - Strong ability to review technical data, ensure accuracy in designs, and identify potential issues before they impact the project.
Strong Communication Skills - Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively, both written and verbally, and work collaboratively with diverse teams.
Problem-Solving Mindset - An innovative thinker who can troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges in the field and the office.
