About the Role The Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairs, troubleshooting and maintenance of injection molding, manual and automated assembly equipment and building/facilities maintenance. Utilize line diagrams, schematics and troubleshooting matrix's as well as updated line diagrams and schematics when changes are made. Receive daily assignments and work with minimum supervision. Maintain a neat and orderly work area and clean up after job is complete. This is a Computer Field Technician Position doing hardware repairs and installations on laptop and desktop units. You must have prior experience with laptop and desktop hardware. As part of your onboarding, you will be certified in Dell and Lenovo. All certifications are free to you. Job Details This is a 1099 Contract position. Call volume varies but is typically between 2-5 calls per day. Pay is based on the number of calls completed. Pay starts at $35 per ticket. You will be completing hardware part replacements for Dell and Lenovo warranty services. Pay period -every Friday after the first week of completing tickets. You must have a reliable form of transportation to run these calls. You must have access to a computer and the internet to log onto your portal. Tickets are run Monday through Friday. You must be able to log into your tech portal every workday by 9 am to accept, code (update status), and map out your calls. Working within a Reliability Based Maintenance environment, the Central Utilities Technician is responsible for operation, maintenance and process problem resolution related to Site Utility Operations (Central Steam, Chilled Water, Instrument Air, Purified Water, Water for Injection, Clean Steam, Pharmaceutical Air, Pharmaceutical Nitrogen, Production Waste, & Process Vacuum). RESPONSIBILITIES * Daily operation, responding to trouble calls and maintenance of the site utility systems. Duties include system monitoring (either by a control system, manual data entry, walk-thru's), operational maintenance, handling chemicals, working with other teams performing maintenance and data review. * Performing preventive maintenance, sampling activities, repairs, improvements, and modifications to utility and facility equipment including but not limited to, pumps, air compressors, boilers, water systems, piping, and other mechanical equipment. * Understand and follow complex SOP's that govern how utility systems are operated, maintained, and repaired. * Operate the qualified utilities in a manner that meets or exceeds complex regulatory requirements (FDA, Zoetis Quality Standards etc.). * Support activities associated with Regulatory Audits of site equipment and processes. This may include providing requested information and/or meeting with auditors to explain processes and procedures. * Perform repairs to piping systems, safety devices, and isolation components. * Serve as utilities advisor to provide input to projects in areas of equipment design, parts and material selection, documentation, testing, problem solving, maintenance requirements, and project scope. * Responsible for priority assessment and decision making as it relates to troubleshooting and diagnostics of equipment operations. Essential Functions: • Diagnoses, adjusts, and repairs light, medium, heavy duty vehicles, including: pick-ups, Class 3-8 trucks, buses, RV's, SUV's, off road vehicles, emergency vehicles, trailers • Communicates with management/service writers to gather or verify information and to advise of expected repair time • Troubleshoots equipment issues to determine most cost effective approach to fix, repair or resolve • Travels to locations of disabled equipment to fix, repair or diagnose problem(s) as needed, performing after hours calls on a rotating basis • Consults with other mechanics as needed to discuss problems or questions with any particular process or procedure • Operates equipment after completing repairs to ensure satisfactory completion/resolution of problem(s) • Maintains current knowledge and skill needed to diagnose, fix or repair heavy equipment and trucks • Follows established company policies and guidelines for safety, quality and customer service; wears personal protective equipment (PPE) as required or needed • Assists with taking inventory as needed • Completes required paperwork timely and accurately • Maintain hand tools, power tools, and other shop equipment in in good repair • Maintains orderly work area to include wiping up spills, neatly storing tools and parts, properly discarding old or unused parts and materials, sweeping area and emptying trash receptacles as needed • Perform other duties as assigned Zolman Tire, Inc. provides equal employment opportunity to all employees and applicants, without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, citizenship status, disability, veteran status, genetic information, or any other legally protected category Industry specific and Covid-19 PPE are available to all floor and production staff. Job Posting External Job Duties * Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair Crown and all other makes of lift trucks. * Perform all assigned planned maintenance on customer lift trucks. * Maintain a service van and its inventory. * Process paperwork after completion of each job. Minimum Qualifications * Less than 2 years related experience * High school diploma or equivalent * Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to safely operate lift trucks. Preferred Qualifications * Good mechanical and electrical aptitudes, knowledge of electrical/electronic systems and hydraulics and internal combustion engines, and the ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics. * Good written/verbal communication and customer care skills. * Technical degree, previous lift truck repair, welding experience, and knowledge of various types of testing equipment preferred. * Familiar with tools and equipment such as common hand tools, electrical/air tools, torch, arc welder and various types of testing equipment. * Industry related training is preferred * Ability to read and understand service manuals, plan, and follow-through Work Authorization: Crown will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States.
