Identifies and provide clear communication on machine statuses when there may be mechanical problems associated with equipment or environment, communicating problems to Managers, Foremen and Mechanics.
Operates tractors properly with attached or towed equipment, safely and accurately in open fields and confined vineyards with varied terrain, avoiding damage to equip, property, fellow workers and public.
Responsible for complete and accurate record keeping of all service and maintenance performed.
Handles agricultural materials, such as pesticides and other agricultural chemicals, using tractor equipment in a safe manner.
Performs end of day clean up and maintenance
Provides timely and comprehensive feedback to team and manager to better enhance performance and efficiency of critical path equipment.
Familiarizes themselves with the safety standards and requirements applicable to their role.

**Pay Rate:** $27.00 to $28.00 per hour.
**Position Purpose:**
Provides day-to-day monitoring and basic plant and pump/booster station operations, routine lab tests and basic corrective and preventative maintenance activities.
**Primary Duties/Responsibilities:**
+ Operates equipment manually and through instrumentation panels, computer terminals and programmable logic control units following process control procedures. Monitors and observes operating conditions, records observations and data in shift log. Diagnoses basic operational problems and takes corrective action per procedure.
+ Performs routine CLAIR (cleaning, lubrication, adjustment, inspection and minor repair) on machines and related equipment which may include pumps, engines, centrifuges, generators, valves, gates, mixers, conveyors, blowers, dryers, chemical feed, odor control, disinfection equipment, vacuum filters and belt presses. Reports and documents results of work performed and enters into appropriate database. Promptly reports any operational problems with machines or equipment to Lead or Supervisor.

Performs field tests (chemical, physical and biological) in order to pace chemical dosages for process and odor control units. Prepares chemical solutions, monitors supplies and recommends reorder.

+ Performs routine instrument calibration for portable meters including, but not limited to, dissolved oxygen, pH, H2S, percent oxygen, lower explosive limit.

As a Biometric Technician (BT), you will be responsible for supporting the mission of a government program located in Salinas, CA. This position works as a part of a dynamic team of professionals assisting the United States Citizenship and Immigration (USCIS) Application Support Center (ASC) operations. Amentum provides all required job training for qualified candidates. This position is a part time team member.
Part Time employees are expected to be available all five days, Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:45am to 4:15pm or for certain coverage times as needed at the site. This is not a regular Full -Time. Part-Time employees have a set schedule of hours; however, occasionally employees are notified the night before or day of if changes need to be made to the existing schedule. Employees are regularly scheduled for 20 hours a week but can be altered depending on applicant volume and site needs.
Primary Responsibilities are:
* Complete biometrics registration for applicants seeking legal immigration to the United States.
* Ensure all who enter the ASC are approved applicants and visitors while providing both interior and exterior crowd control and assisting the staff in enforcing the rules and policies of the ASCs.
* Provide front-line customer service as representatives of Amentum and on behalf of the United States Government.
Highlights of Responsibilities:
It is expected that providing applicants with the highest level of customer service is primary in all responsibilities. * Conducting periodic facility checks (both interior and exterior) reporting any concerns to the Site Supervisor to manage.
* Assist the Site Supervisor and/or government Immigration Service Officer in calling local law enforcement or first responders when necessary.
* Manage and complete with accuracy administrative paperwork such as tracking processing time for applicants, reconciliation paperwork of biometrics captured, assisting in maintaining a visitor control log for non-applicants entering the facility, signing off on facility checks and other administrative duties as needed.
Required Qualifications:
* Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
* A High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Must be able to speak and write in English.
* Ability to stand upright on one's feet for scheduled shift duration, excluding meals and breaks.
