This is a Computer Field Technician Position doing hardware repairs and installations on laptop and desktop units. You must have prior experience with laptop and desktop hardware. As part of your onboarding, you will be certified in Dell and Lenovo. All certifications are free to you.
Job Details
This is a 1099 Contract position. Call volume varies but is typically between 2-5 calls per day. Pay is based on the number of calls completed. Pay starts at $35 per ticket.
You will be completing hardware part replacements for Dell and Lenovo warranty services.
Pay period -every Friday after the first week of completing tickets.
You must have a reliable form of transportation to run these calls.
You must have access to a computer and the internet to log onto your portal.
Tickets are run Monday through Friday. You must be able to log into your tech portal every workday by 9 am to accept, code (update status), and map out your calls.
You will be responsible for contacting your customers and confirming a window to go onsite to complete the service.
Parts will be provided for you by the manufacturers. They are typically held at FedEx for you to pick up in the morning. You will be provided with shipping labels and materials to return the removed parts.

Safety:
• Follow all prescribed Health, Safety and Environmental laws, rules, and regulations.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations during maintenance activities. Identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Complete all required safety and regulatory training as applies in a timely manner.
• Surveys job sites to identify potential hazards and countermeasures prior to commencing work.
Equipment:
• Troubleshoot mechanical/equipment breakdowns. Act as the primary mechanic for complex repairs.
• Read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, schematics, blueprints, service manuals, and work orders to perform required work. Helps clarify concepts and provides equipment training for new colleagues.
• Disassembles/installs new machines, condition monitoring sensors, equipment, etc.
• Recommends and executes equipment changes to improve safety, quality, and/or uptime. Vets changes through engineering and ensures documentation is updated.
• Lead the Installation, assembly, and testing of machines and equipment.
• Use a variety of tools to complete repairs, installations, adjustments, and part replacements.
• Work from established procedures and/or verbal instructions.
Preventative Maintenance:
• Identifies opportunities for PM improvements and discusses them with Engineering and Management.
• Lead routine preventive maintenance in accordance with specified tasks and procedures.
• Takes and records measurements to allow for machine condition trend analysis. Properly enters data into CMMS.
• Regularly evaluates PM procedures and makes suggestions for improvement.
• Coordinates with production to ensure equipment is prepared for preventative maintenance.
• Audits lock out tag outs to ensure equipment is safe prior to work.
• Inspect machines regularly for signs of malfunctions. This includes both visual and sound inspections.
• Look for opportunities and make recommendations.
Daily:
• Work closely with maintenance colleagues and other relevant departments to coordinate maintenance activities.
• Complete record of work performed in CMMS system. Looks for opportunities to improve quality of data.
• Interface with all levels of Team Members in a positive, team building manner. Share knowledge and provide technical expertise/support when needed.
• Maintain work areas in a neat and orderly condition in accordance with the Visual Management and 5S Standards.

Position Summary
The Operations Technician Coordinator will have 60% responsibility in competition related duties including performing timing/judging aspects of setting up and running Swim, Dive, Water Polo and Artistic Swimming Competitions. Additional 40% responsibility in scheduling related duties in preparing lane assignments for team practices and scheduling for Competition, Dive and Training pools and confirming notifications and end of month reporting.
This role will pay an hourly rate of $24.00-$27.00

About the Venue
Since its grand opening in 2011, the Greensboro Aquatic Center (GAC) has emerged as one of the top aquatic facilities in the nation. A state-of-the-art facility featuring cutting edge concepts in aquatic design, the GAC is located on the campus of the Greensboro Complex the premier sports and entertainment facility in the Southeast.
Built at a cost of nearly $19 million, the GAC brings together all major aquatic sports - competitive swimming and diving, water polo, synchronized swimming and other unique sports - all in one venue. The GAC's versatility offers Greensboro the opportunity to host high school and collegiate events, USA Swimming meets, U.S. Masters Swimming and U.S. Water Polo events as well as myriad local, regional, national and international competitions. The GAC's impressive national swim meet resume includes numerous NCAA, ACC, YMCA and USA Diving competitions. According to the Greensboro Convention & Visitors Bureau, the estimated economic impact of GAC events exceeds $224 million.
Responsibilities
60% of Job Responsibilities:
Event setup, installation of competition equipment.
Operating Timing and Judging Equipment during events.
Operating Video Internet Streaming Equipment during events.
Removing, cleaning and storing competition equipment after events.
Assisting with repairs and maintenance of competition and video equipment.
40% of Job Responsibilities:
Lane scheduling for the Competition, Dive and Training Pools by utilizing GAC Lane Request Gmail. Includes following activity for mention Pools:
Confirming lane schedules and notifying teams/coaches/staff via emails and website updates.
Reporting end of month activity to GAC Administration for all billing.
Tracking end of month usage and data in accordance with budget/planning.
All other responsibilities as requested by management.
Qualifications
High School Graduate
Strong Basic Computer Skills
Experience with high level Aquatic Competitions
1-3 years' experience in operating Aquatic timing equipment
