Brief Description:
The Restoration Technician is a first responder on property loss situations and helps mitigate damage in residential and commercial structures. Schedule

Responsibilities:
Plan, lead, and execute preventative maintenance (PM) according to schedule to minimize equipment downtime
Complete reactive maintenance on production lines to recover from equipment failures by repairing mechanical, electrical, and structural components
Complete machine tear down/repair and assembly and work on PLCs, VFDs, and electric motors
Conduct creative problem solving to identify and perform equipment improvements

Position Summary: Travel to store locations to provide a wide variety of gas maintenance repairs and services. Completes repairs on fuel dispensers, environmental monitoring systems, underground storage tank (UST) piping, and related equipment, including manways, spill buckets, concrete tank mats, drive mats, and gas islands. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Diagnose and repair Milgard window and door products at customer homes and job sites
Communicate directly and courteously with customers and co-workers
Assist senior technicians with installations, repairs, and part replacements
Pick up and deliver parts; maintain inventory in service vehicles and warehouse
Clean installed products and ensure job sites are returned to original condition
Safely operate hand and power tools
Use iPads and service software to document service calls and review schedules
Collaborate with other Field Service Technicians on multi-tech projects
Inspect incoming parts for quality; reject and document any that don't meet standards
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment - both in the field and warehouse
Keep service vehicles clean, stocked, and in good working condition
Assist with unloading delivery trucks and general warehouse upkeep
Submit closing service documentation promptly to the Field Service Office
Window and door service/install experience required, including:
Qualifications
2+ years of direct customer service experience
High school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge of safe use of hand and power tools
Valid Class D Driver's License with a clean driving record (per PGT's safe driving policy)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Basic English language skills; bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus

Our mission is to help people maintain the safety and value of their homes by offering handyman services, home assessments, and regular maintenance We are searching for a reliable lead home technician (handyman/handywoman) to provide general home services to our customers in our community AND lead a group of technicians who will report to you. If you have 10 or more years of paid experience in general carpentry and handyman work, we want to hear from you.

The appropriate candidate for the Lead Technician/Handyman position will be proficient in miscellaneous around-the-house type repairs like carpentry, basic plumbing, drywall, painting, and basic electrical. Candidates do not need to be licensed tradesmen, but those candidates are welcome to apply.
Qualified candidates will need a driver's license, a reliable vehicle, and standard tools. Candidate must also be a legal citizen of the US, and speak fluent English
