Job Summary
The Fiber Technician is a field position that directly works to help maintain and expand the fiber network as well as complete the following tasks along with additional duties as assigned. This position is an hourly position that will require the individual to always possess a valid driver's license, maintain a stellar driving record free from any major offences that may affect Lightpath' s MOD rating. The position is a hands-on labor-intensive job that requires a heavy amount of experience in fiber splicing, equipment installation, troubleshooting and cable placement. The work will take place in but is not limited to buildings, confined space, side of the roadway and aerial locations. This position will require off hours, weekend, and holiday work. In addition to being part of an on-call rotation in support of the network that will require being available during various holidays and weather events.
Responsibilities
Complete field survey of a path for a new cable to be installed within a building, conduit run or aerial pole path. Capture all the information related to the path using varioustools of technology anddocument in a step-by-step method of procedure, that will be customer facing. Lightpath to provide that form document.
Ability to meet with representatives from different municipalities and review proposed projects, file, and submit permit applications, track the application, and follow up on its approval. Be able to communicate with other Lightpath employees to obtain any required information the municipality would request such as bonds and insurance documents or payments.
Work directly with our customers in the field, take and perform calls and email to update on project status and share documentation on each project with co-workers.
Track new and ongoing projects by maintaining numerous Project Trackers.
AttendUtility, Municipal and customer meetings to review and obtain permissions for newly proposed customer projects. Some of these meetings occur after hours and weekends. Some of the meetings are out of State and require extended travel times.
Operate a bucket truck and able to work aloft to access splice cases and lashing fiber cable. Install a lashing machine on the strand and lash small sections of fiber to secure the supporting strand.
Access confined space locations to audit conduits and place cable or remove splice cases and place in the vehicle to have work completed. These spaces will require a pump to evacuate water and the person to work in a wet and dark environment.
Shall possess knowledge of fiber optic filters and CDWM filter splicing and testing.
The technician must also be able to operate an EXFO OTDR and 400 gig test set and work with Lightpath or contracted resources to complete fiber and provisioning testing for circuits on an as needed basis. Individuals must be willing to learn and attend continuing ed classes for OTDR, electronic equipment and fiber splicing.
The technician must be able to operate a fusion splice machine (single and mass) for fiber optic cables. This work requires a steady hand and the ability to sit ina single location for extended periods of time.
The technician must be able to work onladders both 28-foot extension and step up to 8-foot-high step ladders.
The technician will also need to cover on-call shifts to support the Lightpath fiber Network. This at times may require working in adverse conditions and on holidays.
Requirements
Must have excellent follow-through skills, be detail-oriented and be able to develop and manage accurate data in Project Trackers.
Ability to travel for short periods of time.
College Degree in Engineering, Communications or related field experience preferred.
5+ years' experience in fiber optic construction installation and maintenance.

Observes and monitors construction activities and other encumbrances within parking spaces. Verifies that said activities have secured the required Parking Encumbrance Permits from the City Parking Division in accordance with the City's Code of Ordinances.
Collects money from several hundred single-space parking meters and multi- space parking kiosks, processes, records and deposits monies with the City Collections Office.
Maintain and monitors daily meter repair log and complaint records.
Performs preventative maintenance to parking meters and multi space kiosks as scheduled by the Parking Supervisor.
Inspects meters and parking kiosks for malfunctions or vandalism. Clears coin jams and removes foreign objects in coin assemblies. Dissassembles meters and kiosks as needed to conduct tests, adjust, or otherwise clean / repair / replace faulty or damaged components. Reassembles units once maintenance is complete.
Dissassembles old meters and kiosk units removed from service; harvest and store salvageable components. Reconditions meters and kiosks as directed. Transports and disposes of obsolete equipment at appropriate disposal facilities as directed by the Parking Supervisor.
Cleans meters and kiosk pay station housings; remove stickers and graffiti as required. Sands, cleans, primes, and paints meter and kiosk housings.
Replace decals and signage for meters and kiosk pay stations as required.
Updates maintenance logs for meters and kiosk pay stations as developed by the Parking Supervisor. Keep the Parking Supervisor informed of availability and condition of all tools, parts, or supplies required for meter and kiosk maintenance / repair / replacement.

The candidate will have a proven career history of successfully managing change and GMP/Quality experience. This position reports directly to the Site Facility Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Understand and ensure compliance in GMP space
Customer Focus: Be a true innovator and genuine service-oriented individual to continuously monitor established quality procedures and resolve internal quality issues and customer complaints concerning product and or service dissatisfaction.
Communication: Directly interface, both verbally and written, with client vendors, and JLL Management
Compliance: Stay current with all Client, Federal and State regulations/codes, comply with specifications, and ensure standards are met.
Support Quality Assurance to include training, assigning tasks, performance appraisals, conducting investigations, assisting with CAPAs, and monitor procedures to ensure processes are completed in an efficient and safe manner, and within the scope of policies and procedures.
Perform/support audits and prepare SOP's and training materials.
Provides information to Vendors, Facilities staff and Service Providers as required to ensure that quality assurance expectations are communicated, understood and followed.
Inspections: Participate in the creation and implementation of inspections and other quality practices and procedures.. These inspections should serve as an assurance of quality as measured by client surveys.
Provide leadership and direction to advance service quality and enhance the client partnership to continuously improve operations and influence the behavior of all employees.
Supplier Performance Management: Deliver high quality, creative, and cost-effective solutions. Monitor work requests to trend vendor performance. Raise the bar in vendor quality and service while reducing overall costs.
Work with IFM managers to hold vendors accountable for delivering high quality service per contract expectations, partnering with vendors to continuously improve service quality and improvement plans, and resolve/troubleshoot service issues at the site level.
Analytical capability: Analyze trends and utilize data to anticipate and proactively address issues in the environment.
Financial Acumen: Challenge year-over-year cost increases and proactively identify ways to reduce “process waste” and costs.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Science or another relevant field is desired but not required; experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
5 years of GMP or ISO 9000 experience in manufacturing.
Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing preferred.
Must have proven, successful GMP or Quality Compliance/Assurance experience working with vendors performing services in GMP space
GMP PEST CONTROL PROGRAM
Proven capabilities on addressing and remediating pest sightings and investigations in a GMP Manufacturing Facility.
Ability to establish rationales on Pest Control Best Practices.
Ability to prepare and analyze Pest Control Trend Reports, subject to Regulatory Agency review.
Experience in auditing GMP Pest Control Programs.
Some knowledge in entomology and common insect behavior.
GMP | CLEAN ROOM JANITORIAL AND SANITIZATION PROGRAMS
Strong Knowledge of Environmental Controls of GMP Clean Rooms.
Strong understanding of Regulatory Expectations.
Ability to recommend, frequency and propose recommended dilutions of cleaning detergents for specific needs and situations.
Develop cleaning procedures, work instructions and log forms in compliance with regulatory expectations.
Train on Cleaning Methods and Procedures.
Proven capabilities on addressing and remediating investigations related to Environmental Monitoring excursions as it related to a cleaning/disinfection programs.
Ability to recognize when a GMP Change Control is required when proposing new cleaning methods, detergents and consumables.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Must possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly
Knowledge of Quality Engineering techniques, CMMS systems, and Quality Management Systems
Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to analyze reports for the purpose of ensuring compliance with scope of work
Excellent PC skills: proficient in all MS applications, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio
Speak, read and write fluent Englis

Education:
