Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Efficiently perform regular and preventative maintenance related to the plant, equipment, and grounds in compliance with standard operating procedures, good manufacturing practices, and safety policies as enforced by OSHA.
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment during the production process as needed.
Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs.
Effectively perform and assist in repair or updating and installation of equipment.
Perform troubleshooting of equipment, including both electrical and mechanical systems.
Complete and update work orders using in-house systems.
Complete and maintain routine and preventive records and logs.
Works closely with production to minimize downtime while maintaining quality.
Perform buildings and grounds maintenance/up-keep as needed.
Maintain a working knowledge of all plant area processes.
Accurately read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.

Qualifications:
Education Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Technical school coursework/Degree in boiler (not LSC), welding, electrical, HVAC maintenance preferred.
Experience Required:
Minimum two (2) years of maintenance/repair experience in a manufacturing environment required.
Mechanical and electrical aptitude required.

Responsibilities
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair our customers Commercial Tractors and Trailers
Writing detailed work orders - working Mobile Road Calls and/or In Yard.
Provide quality customer service
Inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing semi-truck and trailer bodies, systems, and components
Performing preventative maintenance measures on fleet semi-trucks and trailers
Maintaining hubs and axles and adjusting or replacing them when required
Inspecting, servicing, and replacing tractor and trailer parts, including tires
Checking and repairing the brake, electrical, and hydraulic system
Testing all systems and equipment for performance issues
Ensuring that trailers meet the U.S. Department of Transportation's road safety requirements.
Compiling inspection reports, documenting repairs, and reporting all findings to management.

Apple Autos is seeking a highly-driven Technician to join our team. What You'll Do
Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
Work independently and as a team to drive maximum repair efficiency.
Consistently and concisely detail and document repairs.
Inspect and maintain shop equipment.
Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc. to specification.
Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers.
Inspect and test new vehicles and record findings so that necessary repairs can be made.
Continue ongoing training to stay abreast of the new technology and techniques on the vehicle model lines.
What You'll Bring
Previous experience as an automotive technician preferred but not required.
Hold a valid driver's license.
Team oriented, flexible, high energy and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service.
Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.
Vocational/Technical or certification preferred.
Regularly required to:
Sit, stand and walk
Use hands and arms to handle, feel, or reach
Speak and hear
Use close vision abilities
Operate a vehicle with a valid driver's license
Occasionally, required to:
Lift or move up to 50 lbs
Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Noise Level: Low to moderate
