Set up blade cutters and cut correct parts for welders. Repair machines as needed when possible or bring maintenance in to make repairs. Sort and check boxes that come back from ability works. Change filters in dust collectors. Perform required quality checks on blades supplied to welders. Perform quality checks on parts after weld. Perform periodic PM's on machines. Cut up scrap as needed. Communicate any needs or issues to supervisor. Retrieve packaging supplies from inventory. Retrieve and document repair parts for machines as needed from Maximo. Retrieve scrap bins and move material with forklift and pallet jack. Train and monitor new welders as needed. Complete all required paperwork and production reports and turn in to supervisor daily. Adhere to all safety requirements in the work area Adhere to all house keeping policies and schedules. Recommend and participate in completion of continuous improvement projects specifically designed to improve processes, productivity and quality, especially those related to corrective actions. Complete other duties as assigned by the manager/supervisor, including working other shifts as necessary. Adhere to 5S in the department Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Must demonstrate good written and oral communication skills Able to interpret technical data, including drawings and OMS. Maintain product knowledge of surgery non-stock and stock reporting items in order to coordinate purchases with OR, purchasing, Lead Supply Chain Operations Tech and/or Coordinator as appropriate. * INVENTORY Periodically performs quality control checks to verify the accuracy of the Supply Chain Operations information management system as compared to actual product on hand. Makes recommendations for changes in par levels for supplies and linen to the Lead Technician or Coordinator. Determines needs for supply replacement from predetermined established inventory levels. Notifies Lead Supply Chain Operations Technician of critical stock balances. Utilizes computer information systems for look-ups of on-hand quantities, unit of issue, catalog numbers, entering requisitions and purchase orders, entering counts for par refills to produce pick lists and for location of supplies within the warehouse. * EQUIPMENT Receives, distributes and stores reusable equipment managed by Supply Chain Operations Department (i.e., IV pumps, PCA pumps, Plum pumps, Excels, rental beds, etc.). Monitors equipment inventories and ensures adequate supplies to meet business needs. Cleans, disinfects and prepares equipment for use following standardized procedures utilizing proper disinfectants and in accordance with infection control guidelines. Examines equipment for defects and reports observed defects to Bio-Medical Department. Makes rounds to all patient rooms and equipment locations to scan the equipment for accurate record of all equipment locations. Utilizes scanners at patient bed side to record patient name and room number and equipment ordered to ensure correct patient charges are submitted. Responsibilities As an Electronics Technician (ET) or Fire Controlman (FC), you may: Maintain and repair radar, communication, and navigation equipment. Operate, maintain, and repair fire control radars, mainframe computers, large screen displays, LANs, weapon control consoles, and automatic gun systems. Troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical systems used in weapons systems. Support combat systems readiness aboard aircraft carriers, Aegis cruisers, and other surface ships. Work Environment ETs and FCs serve on fleet units worldwide and at shore-based repair facilities. Expect assignments aboard ships, at remote stations, and in technical repair shops. Locate and repair service on customer and company lines in accordance with company issued trouble reports. Communicate and work with customer service and plant records department to advise when service orders and trouble reports have been completed. Must keep accurate records. Complete all forms, reports and time sheets as required by the company. Repair various types of trouble on cable plant and drop wires. Install, modify, disconnect or repair customer service on multi-line key systems. Must be familiar with proper use of tools and work equipment including hoisting, digging, or trenching equipment. Ensure that all tools or work equipment are in good working order and properly use, maintain and store tools and work equipment.
