This is a Computer Field Technician Position doing hardware repairs and installations on laptop and desktop units. To be successful in this position, you must have prior experience with laptop and desktop hardware.
Job Details:
This is a 1099/per call position
Pay is based solely on the number of calls completed.
Calls start at $35 and go up based on distance traveled
Pay period: Every Friday after the first week worked
Tickets are run Monday-Friday during the day shift. Candidates must be regularly available a minimum of 3 weekdays to be considered.
Call volume is variable but is usually 2-5 calls per day
You will complete certifications from Dell and Lenovo as part of your onboarding. Certifications are online and free to you.
You must have a reliable form of transportation and a valid driver's license to run these calls. You will be visiting multiple work sites throughout your day.
You must have access to a computer and the Internet to log onto your portal each day.
You must be available to log into your tech portal each morning you are working by 9 am to code your calls and map out your route for the day.
The manufacturer has completed troubleshooting and shipped a part prior to your ticket being issued to you.
You will confirm service times with the customer in your tech portal. Services will be completed at the customer site (residential and commercial)
You will pick up parts daily from the assigned Fed Ex or UPS store for your territory before going onsite. Once all calls are completed for the day drop off the old parts with the pre-paid label that is provided.

A day in the life
Upon arrival to the PPF, the Prop Load Technician will meet with the SAT Zone engineer(s) and technician lead(s) to understand the plan and assignments for the day.
The technician will be assigned tasks based on their skills, optimal process flow/timing, and processing/launch manifest needs. As a Level 3 (senior) technician, you will be expected to be able to independently perform work and train others on the Prop Load Team's tasks.
Valuable skills and experience for this role include a variety of aerospace operational disciplines, including mechanical assembly, propellant loading (or similar spacecraft pneumatic/propulsion operations), pneumatic and electrical control system troubleshooting/rework, and rigging/crane/forklift operations
In short, you will be responsible for some of the most critical tasks to process and integrate each Kuiper satellite for launch, ensuring high quality, workmanship, and safety standards are adhered to on a daily basis.
About the team
The Propellant Loading Team is part of the Satellite Processing Zone at Project Kuiper's Payload Processing Facilities. The SAT Zone is responsible for receiving each satellite from the factory in WA, testing, processing, and readying them for dispenser integration, stacking, and launch.
The Prop Load team's mission is to safely, consistently, and efficiently load Krypton propellant on all 3,236 satellites that will be launched to populate the Project Kuiper constellation.
The team is based at the Comet PPF in Kennedy Space Center, and travels to support propulsion operations at other PPFs as the launch manifest requires.
Basic Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience in the aerospace/launch industry, automotive industry, medical device industry, aviation, military, or other high-reliability operating environment
- A demonstrated ability in reading/understanding technical drawings, work instructions, and standard operating procedures
- Able to use precision measurement, assembly, and test/troubleshooting tools (calipers, torque wrenches, leak detectors, multimeters, etc)

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting in carrying out the maintenance processes of the property, including corrective, preventative, routine, emergency, and cosmetic maintenance. The Maintenance Technician is also responsible for the make-ready process in a manner consistent with the property's operational objectives under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Community Maintenance
Regular/daily onsite attendance is required

Maintain accurate records regarding service requests, EPA/OSHA standards, preventative maintenance, apartment make-ready status, work in progress, etc.

A day in the life
Upon arrival to the PPF, the second-shift Prop Load Technician will meet with the SAT Zone engineer(s) and technician lead(s) for debrief on first shift's progress and challenges, take-over in-process activities (satellite propellant-loading and securing), and set-up satellites for first-shift the following day.
The technician will be assigned tasks based on their skills, optimal process flow/timing, and processing/launch manifest needs. As a Level 3 (senior) technician, you will be expected to be able to independently perform work and train others on the Prop Load Team's tasks.
Valuable skills and experience for this role include a variety of aerospace operational disciplines, including mechanical assembly, propellant loading (or similar spacecraft pneumatic/propulsion operations), pneumatic and electrical control system troubleshooting/rework, and rigging/crane/forklift operations
In short, you will be responsible for some of the most critical tasks to process and integrate each Amazon Leo satellite for launch, ensuring high quality, workmanship, and safety standards are adhered to on a daily basis.
About the team
The Propellant Loading Team is part of the Satellite Processing Zone at Amazon Leo's Payload Processing Facilities. The SAT Zone is responsible for receiving each satellite from the factory in WA, testing, processing, and readying them for dispenser integration, stacking, and launch.
The Prop Load team's mission is to safely, consistently, and efficiently load Krypton propellant on all 3,236 satellites that will be launched to populate the Amazon Leo constellation.
The team is based at the Comet PPF in Kennedy Space Center, and travels to support propulsion operations at other PPFs as the launch manifest requires.
Basic Qualifications

Generator Service Technicians are responsible for performing both shop and/or field repairs, maintenance service and troubleshooting of diesel and gas generators, including automatic transfer switches, batteries, and load banks. This technician will support Martin, Saint Lucie, Indian River, and Brevard Counties.
*Hired candidates may be eligible for a Signing Bonus based on skill level and certifications.
Essential Job Functions
Perform technical skills including but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, troubleshooting and repair of generators
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of generators both during normal working hours and after-hours, weekends, and holidays as directed
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance service and/or repairs of generators
Read and interpret operational manuals, electrical schematics, universal generator literature, and work orders to perform required maintenance and/or repairs
Perform basic mathematical calculations
Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
Detect faulty operations, defective material and report them and any other unusual situations to the service manager in a timely manner
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly shop work areas, company vehicles, and job site work areas
Drive company vehicle to and from job sites throughout the day. Overnight travel by land and/or air may be required on occasion
Additional Job Functions
May perform work requiring the use of welding tools, winch, pulley, hoist and/or pallet jack
May be required to tow a trailer, portable generator, or load bank using Company vehicle

Experience and Skills
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (including physical and work environment)
Working knowledge of power generation systems and its components, including knowledge of the mechanical operation, associated hazards, and proper usage of the equipment in order to troubleshoot and accurately diagnose malfunctions
Proficient with generator and transfer switch controls
Must be strong mechanically and electrically
Ability to interpret schematics and operational manuals for practical application on repair and maintenance tasks
Working knowledge of fundamental mathematical operations
Ability to take preventative safety measures to avoid electrical shock, limit exposure to loud noises, and prevent personal injury by using personal protective equipment, including the use of NFPA 70E protective equipment when applicable
Skilled usage of mechanical tools utilized to repair and maintain generators and their components
Ability to perform duties in non-climate controlled environments such as outdoor weather conditions and non-weather related wet, humid and/or extreme heat conditions
Position requires extended periods of standing, extended periods of sitting while driving, as well as bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, kneeling, squatting and the use of hands to finger, handle and feel
Ability to lift and/or move heavy objects up to 100 lbs. throughout the work day
Minimum Job Qualifications (education, work experience, licenses/certifications)
High School or equivalent (GED)
5 to 7 years of related work experience or training or equivalent combination of both education and experience
Motor Vehicle Record must be in good standing and comply with Company policy
Experience on Generac, Caterpillar, Cummins, Kohler, Aksa, Blue Star, Taylor generators are a plus

$18.73 hourly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Travels Countywide. Work schedule is variable and includes evenings, weekends, and holidays. Performs entry-level technical work in hazardous materials management activities at the Solid Waste Household Hazardous Waste Collection Centers. Work involves daily handling of chemicals and household hazardous waste and frequent use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
REQUIREMENTS:A high school diploma, or its equivalent,PLUSone (1) year of experience in hazardous waste materials handling, environmental science, chemistry, biology, or a closely related field. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. Must possess, or obtain within six (6) months of employment, a valid OSHA twenty-four (24) hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) certification, in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1910.120, and maintain said certification during the term of employment.Must possess, or obtain within six (6) months of employment, a valid Department of Transportation (DOT) eight (8) hour Hazardous Materials Transportation certification and maintain said certification during the term of employment. Must successfully complete, within six (6) months of employment, an OSHA-compliant forklift training course that meets the requirements of 29 CFR 1910.178 and be able to safely operate a forklift. Must satisfactorily complete, within nine (9) months of employment, all of the Brevard County Mandatory Training for the Development of New Employees. Must be physically capable at all times of properly wearing and utilizing all required personal protective equipment (PPE). Must be able to work Saturdays and holidays as required. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
