Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain tire grinders, compressors, various styles of conveyors and other electro-mechanical systems. Apply knowledge of machinery and tools, including welding equipment, digital volt meters and other similar industrial equipment. Preventive Maintenance Program: Maintain perpetual maintenance program for all facility and plant equipment; perform predictive maintenance functions including testing, inspection, and lubrication of moving equipment. Understand and follow a work order maintenance system. Support the installation of new equipment including wiring, platforms, shredders, and other process/safety equipment. Skills and Abilities: High school diploma or equivalent. Understand and follow all OSHA and site-specific safety programs. 3 - 5 years of experience working with heavy equipment, production and processing equipment. Ability to work in a busy and changing environment both inside and outside in all seasons. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and periodically lift 80 pounds. Welding certification is preferred. Education and Experience: Prior experience in the tire recycling or manufacturing industry is a plus.
