You must be able to log into your tech portal every workday by 9 am to accept, code (update status), and map out your calls. You will be responsible for contacting your customers and confirming a window to go onsite to complete the service. Parts will be provided for you by the manufacturers. What you'll do… We are looking to hire a detailed-oriented, driven, and resourceful Microgrid Mechanical Technician to assume responsibilities for multiple Microgrid generators. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of performing maintenance on power generation equipment, electrical experience as a plus. The Microgrid Mechanical Technician will coordinate with Area Managers to ensure generators are maintained, serviced, and operate for customer requirements for on demand electricity. The position is remote in Beaumont and will report to the Area Manager. You'll make an impact by: Perform skilled repairs of Volvo Penta Diesel Engines (16 L), Power Solutions International (21.9 L) and Marathon generator ends, as well as various voltage control and synchronizing equipment. Be proficient at learning and utilizing manufacturer specific software to troubleshoot and diagnose engine and control system problems. Facilitate technical support and liaison with equipment manufacturers. Perform scheduled, preventive, or predictive generator maintenance tasks. Perform troubleshooting and repair tasks. Perform periodic inspections to identify maintenance needs. Work in potentially confined areas of high heat and humidity, and cold. Follow company process and procedures for verbal/written communications. Utilize all current technology for communication, documentation, and research. Ensure Safe Operation of electrical equipment by enforcing company and industry standards. Safely prepare, operate, and maintain motor vehicles for the purpose of conducting company business.
