Auto-ApplyProduction Technician - Lab Facility
Technician job in Prescott Valley, AZ
Nirvana Cannabis is expanding, and we're looking for motivated, detail-oriented individuals who are ready to build their careers in one of the fastest-growing industries in the country. Our production department plays an essential role in crafting high-quality cannabis products for wholesale distribution, and we are excited to welcome team members who take pride in their work, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are eager to learn and grow.
The Role: Production Technician
The Production Technician is a key contributor to our manufacturing and packaging operations. This position works closely with the production team to ensure that every product meets internal quality expectations while remaining fully compliant with state regulations. Technicians support all stages of the production cycle by operating equipment, recording production data, maintaining sanitary work environments, and assisting with daily manufacturing tasks. This role is ideal for individuals who are dependable, organized, and naturally attentive to detail, especially those who enjoy hands-on work and contributing to a collaborative team environment.
What the Position Involves
Production Technicians participate in the hands-on creation of cannabis products, including dried flower, pre-rolls, concentrates, and edibles. They follow established standard operating procedures and production schedules to help maintain consistent output. Daily responsibilities include operating equipment such as scales, mixers, labelers, and filling machines, along with accurately measuring, mixing, and handling materials according to formulation guidelines. Technicians assist with packaging finished products into compliant containers, ensuring all labels meet regulatory standards, and they complete visual inspections and quality checks to identify any inconsistencies or defects.
This role also requires support for inventory accuracy by documenting material usage and reporting any discrepancies. Maintaining a clean and sanitized workspace is essential, and all tasks must be performed in alignment with Good Manufacturing Practices and state compliance requirements. Production Technicians are expected to follow all safety protocols, complete production logs and batch records in a timely and accurate manner, collaborate closely with their team, and assist with additional duties assigned by production leadership to support overall operational success.
Skills and Attributes for Success
To excel in this role, candidates should demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills and be comfortable using Microsoft Office or similar software. Attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and the capacity to work under pressure are all essential. Successful technicians are team-oriented, dependable, and committed to following procedures in a highly regulated environment where accuracy and compliance are crucial.
Education and Experience
A high school diploma or GED is required for this position. While experience in cannabis production, manufacturing, or packaging is preferred, it is not mandatory. Candidates with at least one year of experience in a production, warehouse, or fast-paced work environment will be especially well-prepared for this role. Familiarity with cannabis compliance guidelines or manufacturing best practices is considered an additional advantage.
Physical Requirements
Because this is a physically active position, candidates should be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods and lift up to 50 pounds as needed. Repetitive motion is a regular part of the production process, so individuals must be comfortable performing consistent, hands-on tasks throughout their shift.
Grow With Us at Nirvana Cannabis
At Nirvana Cannabis, we aim to empower our team with knowledge, opportunity, and a shared passion for the cannabis industry. If you're ready to contribute to a meaningful, hands-on role while developing your skills and advancing your career, we would love to meet you.
