This position includes up to 100% on the road as you will drive in a company vehicle or fly to each site to complete your objective and may be required to perform work overnight while the business is closed. This position, located in St. James, Louisiana, operates assigned equipment and areas of the plant in a safe, reliable, and environmentally responsible manner. This position works on one of four operating shifts and receives work direction from the assigned Shift Supervisor. The position is required to work 12-hour rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays, work overtime as needed and provide standby callout coverage. Primary Responsibilities: Follows all plant safety guidelines and policies, including fire-retardant clothing and other personal protective equipment, during the execution of job duties. Complies with all environmental, health, safety, quality, and government regulations. Follows procedures for safe startup, shutdown, and operation of chemical plant equipment. Operates valves, pumps, filters, boilers, heat exchangers, distillation columns, treaters, reactors, and other chemical plant equipment. Monitors performance and health of equipment and processes using field rounds, listening to equipment operation, recording instrument readings, and catching process samples. Communicates effectively with other operators, Shift Supervisors, and the Shift Activity Coordinator. Participates in shift relief meetings relaying key process and equipment information. Performs process and equipment troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues. Performs preventative maintenance and makes minor repairs as required. Writes work notifications to ensure timely equipment repairs. Documents observations and troubleshooting efforts in written logbook entries. Prepares equipment and issues detailed Safe Work Permits. Participates as an active member of the fire brigade. Perform other duties as assigned or needed. Responsibilities: * Will perform installations of RF/Wireless equipment on light poles and wood utility poles. * Performs installation work, such as installing cables and radios in equipment cabinets. * Manage equipment and inventory. * Troubleshoots RF and Fiber line issues on Small Cell cabinets or poles. * Reads and interprets work orders to determine work to be done, as well as completing documentation for finished jobs. * Reads prints and wire cabinets and run/label fiber jumpers in hub. * Sets up safety in work zone according to prints on TCP (Traffic Control Plan). * Follows safety rules and practices, complying with OSHA standards. * Will work in and operate a bucket truck at heights up to 42'. * Analyzes work orders, plans daily schedule, investigates complaints, conducts tests, and resolves problems. * Install and perform maintenance on customer's OEM equipment. * Will ensure personal equipment operates properly by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs. * Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records. * Maintain customer confidence by keeping service information confidential. * Coordinate customer contact, access to customer premises, and customer test and acceptance on small and medium jobs. * Test installed system for adherence to specifications and evaluate reception. * Must maintain vehicle and installation/service parts inventory. Keep workplace clean and organized. Submit required reports in a timely fashion. * Ensures that the highest quality of service is provided to promote superior customer satisfaction. * Attend formal or informal training to maintain/upgrade knowledge, skill, and performance levels. * Build upon knowledge base by reading professional publications * Adhere to safety guidelines and requirements. * Other duties as assigned. Education and/or Experience * High School Diploma or GED required. Associate's/Technical degree preferred. * Must have 2+ years' experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting specified product or service. * Demonstrated ability to operate a bucket truck and/or lifts to 47 feet. * Possess excellent computer skills and the ability to utilize various programs and software dependent up on client is required. * Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and problem solve required. * Analytical ability and an interest in learning new technologies. * Must be able to utilize hand and power tools. * Must be able to prioritize and complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner. * Able to effectively handle multiple priorities with a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. * Must have strong interpersonal, organizational, oral and written communications skills. * Must be able to work alone, and with a team. * Must be able to pass an Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) review, drug screen and criminal background check.
