Job Summary: As a two-man extruder operator team, the Team Leader - YEI is responsible for assisting the YEI Specialist in the efficient and safe operation of the YEI machine. Knowledge | Experience | Skills: Must be able to work well with others. Highschool diploma or GED required. 1-2 yrs. of manufacturing experience preferred. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: * Locate materials that will be used and load onto YEI conveyor belt to keep machine running. * Set rolls of material (non-woven) to feed shredder compactor. * Responsible for loading materials onto dump table when processing regrinds of mixing these with non-woven materials. * Responsible for picking up purge materials and depositing them in boxes or gaylords. * Responsible for keeping the YEI area clean and emptying trash cans when full. * Help the YEI Team Leader with machine service or PM's when needed. * Responsible for removing boxes from the scales when they are full and putting a new, empty, clean one with a liner on the scale and record the weight on the production sheet. * Help trace machine productivity, monitor machine for downtime and assist YEI Specialist in troubleshooting. * Responsible for filling out the traceability form at the end of the shift every day. * Take instruction from the YEI Specialist, supervisor, or Wellmark Managers. * Clean and visually inspect the machine at the beginning of his/her shift. * Cut non-woven plastic rolls. As a two-man extruder operator team, the YEI Specialist is responsible for the efficient and safe operation of the YEI machine. This requires visual inspection of the YEI Machine, providing instruction and training assistance to the YEI Assistant. Also responsible for the changing of screen filters. Operation of the GALA pelletizer, Auger feeder. Prepare and monitor the flow of non-woven material and other materials into the YEI machine. Knowledge | Experience | Skills: Must come to work as scheduled and to be able to work as a team. Must be able to assist in the training and development of YEI Associates. Highschool diploma or GED required. 1-2 yrs. of manufacturing experience preferred. YEI machine components and processing parameters 2. Erema Screen Changer (operating properly at correct pressure settings) 3. GALA pelletizer operation (pellet quality, dryer, Conair unit, scale, etc.) 4. Auger feed (operating properly, magnet clean, correct speed for process) 5. Maintain forklift & that it is working properly, clean and without damage, proper safety in place * Inform Supervisor and YEI operators of other shifts concerning the status of the product/material being produced. * Assist YEI Associate in the cutting of non-woven plastic rolls. * Produce product to the published schedule, to proper material specification, and production rate. * Safely drive the YEI forklift to handle bales, parts, regrind, and finished product to and from the YEI process. * Keep YEI Machine fed with proper material and blends to maximize quality and output of product scheduled. * Perform normal YEI machine servicing (i.e., change screens, empty vacuum pump tank, clean Conair dust collector, shredder dust collect filters) to maintain proper machine operation. * Perform process monitoring every 2 hrs. and record process information on the "YEI Worksheet" to insure machine is operating to specification. * Keep feedstock materials free of contamination, jam-ups, metals, or anything harmful to the machine or process. * Collect green inventory labels and fill out a daily production report. * Keep work area clean and organized at all times, brake down boxes (remove old labels), stack pallets neatly, and make boxes with liner for finished product. * Report to Supervisor anything abnormal with the machine or process. * Perform minor maintenance on the process equipment in coordination of his/her Supervisor using only the proper methods and tools. * Asist in training of new YEI machine operators. * Assure that process equipment is never damaged, altered, defaced with markings, tape, etc. and always kept to like new condition. * Wear PPE for the process equipment and area as required at all times. Job Description June 2026 high school graduates will go through an overview training process to allow them to understand more about Technimark's facilities and the variety of technical roles that exist at our Asheboro campus. During this time, you will work through a rotation of each group designed to provide each apprentice with exposure to all technical areas prior to being moved into their specific apprenticeship track. Upon completion each student will receive a college certificate for their specific coursework program. ** Applicants must be graduating in 2026 to qualify for this program. ** Desired Experience/Skills High School diploma or GED required. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Apprenticeship - Process Molding Technician: Working in conjunction with Process Technicians apprentices will learn to identify potential problems with machinery, automation, robots, molds, process criteria and auxiliary equipment along with any other item that could interfere with quality requirements and meeting production schedules. They will be trained to handle in-press mold cleanings, handle all job-related reports and learn to become proficient with our Maximo maintenance system. Apprenticeship - Maintenance/Automation: The apprentice will learn to perform troubleshooting, maintenance repairs and preventative maintenance for all equipment and facilities including injection molding equipment, assembly processes, auxiliary equipment, robots and other automation equipment. Job Summary: The Extruder Operator is responsible for the efficient and safe operation of the entire extruding machine, which includes determining proper material inputs per specification, set-up of machine to run proper heat profiles, machine speeds, monitoring of running parameters, and correctly adjusting settings, as needed. June 2026 high school graduates will go through an overview training process to allow them to understand more about Technimark's facilities and the variety of technical roles that exist at our Asheboro campus. During this time, you will work through a rotation of each group designed to provide each apprentice with exposure to all technical areas prior to being moved into their specific apprenticeship track. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Apprenticeship - Process Molding Technician: Working in conjunction with Process Technicians apprentices will learn to identify potential problems with machinery, automation, robots, molds, process criteria and auxiliary equipment along with any other item that could interfere with quality requirements and meeting production schedules. They will be trained to handle in-press mold cleanings, handle all job-related reports and learn to become proficient with our Maximo maintenance system. Apprenticeship - Tool & Die: Under the supervision of the Tool Shop Manager the apprentice will learn to troubleshoot issues with molds, set up and operate all tool room and measuring equipment, read mold drawings, perform cleaning and rework on molds as well as becoming familiar with and maintaining proper records for work completed.
