Position Summary

We have an immediate need for an experienced Carpet - Service Technician in our Service Department. This position will provide support to our Service Team by controlling the closing out work orders at a job site, as well as providing excellent customer service and follow up support to our customers on-site. This is done by completing installation of flooring items that may have been missed in the original carpet flooring installations, and/or repairing damaged carpet flooring. Ideally this position is capable of completing other minor service work with other surfaces such as tile and hard surface. Work examples for carpet include: installation of carpet, seam repairs and carpet stretching. Other surface service work may include: caulking/grout repair or installation of tile, laminate, wood, vinyl or carpet. A service technician will also be expected to complete quality control inspections in homes to identify the root cause of the flooring failure.

Responsibilities

● Arrive to job site on time and with a good attitude

● Diagnose flooring issues with carpet. Experience with other surfaces not required but preferred

● Be able to dissect flooring and seams while being skilled at reconstructing them

● Seam repairs and carpet stretching required

● Full installation of carpet flooring, other surfaces prepared tile, laminate, wood or carpet
