Rob Bennett serves as chief operating officer (COO) of TECO Energy where he continues to lead Emera's integration with TECO Energy, which Emera acquired in July 2016 as well as oversee the company's growth strategy. He also serves as president and CEO of Emera U.S. Inc. Prior to TECO, Bennett served as executive vice president and chief operating officer (COO) of Emera Inc. In this role, he had overall executive responsibility for Emera's businesses, including the Maritime Link. Bennett began his career in Electrical Engineering in 1988 when he first joined Nova Scotia Power. Over the course of his nearly 30-year career, he has held senior management and leadership positions across the Emera group, including serving as president and COO of Bangor Hydro Electric Company (now part of Emera Maine) and president and CEO of Nova Scotia Power. Bennett offers his time to many causes throughout his community, particularly those in the fields of healthcare, education and ethics. He is a graduate of St. Francis Xavier University and holds an Engineering degree from Dalhousie University (DalTech).
