The Optimization and Performance Lead is accountable for forecasting, analysis of costs, and other data support to make optimal business decisions. Executes process implementation, improvement and corresponding software changes. Leverage various business innovation and process improvement methodologies to drive successful outcomes for the Design, Construction, and Pipeline Performance (DCPP) team and our stakeholders. Under the direction of leadership will develop annual and multi-year budgets and forecasts (units and dollars), including the development of the annual operations budgets and business plan processes, cost management and areas for improvement. Collaborates with business leads, IT resources, Finance and senior management with a focus on requirements analysis, development, and implementation of solutions.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Bachelor's degree in Business, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Business Analytics or related field (e.g., accounting, MIS, engineering) from an accredited institution.
7 years of related work or educational experience in developing and implementing data driven continuous improvements and transformational change in challenging environments.
3 years of management, leadership or project lead experience.
Demonstrated leadership, strong organization and sound project management skills with the ability to prioritize; self-motivated with the ability to work independently; good interpersonal and communication skills
Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Owns and prioritizes business process improvement efforts associated with critical Gas Operations software (e.g., SAP). Provide direction in process improvement and re-design of software/platforms and end-user application. Work with business leaders and act as liaison between supported business areas, programming staff and/or vendors. May direct and coordinate multiple projects and teams simultaneously. Chair committees involved with compliance software/platforms and systems across the operating areas.
Apply traditional business analysis and process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Design Thinking, Process Re-engineering, Customer Experience, and Process Excellence to drive successful process improvement initiatives (for complex/multi-departmental process improvement efforts may work with the Business Innovation Team)
Coordinate significant portions of the DCPP budget and monthly re-forecasts, including capital. Support by owning the tools, processes and dashboard. Support production of performance reviews, multi-year forecasts and long-term planning efforts. Support the development of the ten-year forecast.
Designs, develops, and supports analytics solutions including but not limited to Power BI dashboards, operational and customer reports, ad-hoc queries, and draw conclusions from data and prescribe action items. May work with Analytics team for complex BI dashboards.
Develop conceptualization, design, and implementation of new and inflight process improvement initiatives for Peoples Gas System.
Conduct client interviews, process observations, support workshop facilitations and develop high level value analysis activities including identifying appropriate KPIs, and operational metrics, that ensure project success criteria.
Utilize research (industry benchmarks / best practices) and customer journey transformation to support development of organizational capabilities and achieving operational excellence. Explores and recommends emerging technologies in support of continually enhancing analytic capabilities.

Master's Degree in a related field from an accredited institution.
Experience with software/systems such as SAP, PowerPlant, work management, and Power BI.
Six Sigma or other continuous improvement certifications.

POSITION CONCEPT:
The Learning Management System (LMS) coordinator is responsible for managing and maintaining the LMS for Electric Delivery Skills Training Center and all associated technical training functions within Electric Delivery. The LMS Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day administration, maintenance, and support of the LMS as used in Electric Delivery. This role works closely with technical subject matter experts (SMEs), IT, instructional designers, mid-level and often senior level leadership, and TECO's LMS Administrator to manage, deliver, and track technical training programs. The coordinator's primary goal is to ensure the LMS functions as a reliable, user-friendly, and effective platform for technical skill development, compliance training, and professional growth.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
LMS Administration & Maintenance: (30%)
Supervise the Technical Writer at Skills Training Center, responsible for updating all technical training programs within Electric Delivery
Independently oversee the daily operation of the LMS for all Electric Delivery technical training programs.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for end-users, instructors, and administrators, providing timely and effective support.
Manage and maintain the integrity of training records, ensuring all data is accurate, complete, and compliant with relevant regulations (e.g., certifications, compliance training).
Collaborate with TECO's LMS Administrator to plan, test, and implement system upgrades, patches, and new features.
Content Management: (30%)
Supervise the Technical Writer at Skills Training Center as they upload, configure, and publish various types of technical training content, including e-learning modules, videos, assessments, and instructor-led training (ILT) materials.

User Support & Training: (10%)
Act as the first point of contact for all LMS-related questions and issues from technical staff, instructors, and managers.
Develop and maintain documentation, user guides, and FAQs to assist users with common tasks and issues.
Provide training and support to new administrators, instructors, and users on how to effectively use the LMS.
Maintain ownership of recurring training by ensuring all required training is entered into the LMS, properly tagged for compliance and reporting, and communicated to team members and their leadership in a timely manner.
Process Improvement: (10%)
Identify opportunities to improve the LMS user experience, streamline processes, and enhance the overall effectiveness of the training platform.
Stay current on LMS trends, new features, and best practices in technical training and e-learning.

The location for this position is in Lake Buena Vista, FL. This person must reside within the service territory of the region they serve.
General Job Duties:
Maintain and/or construct all structures and substation equipment as directed
Install and/or maintain substation equipment with the aid of electrical prints and manufacturer's instruction books
During installation, periodic maintenance, or callouts, trouble shoot and correct malfunctions of all substation equipment
Instruct subordinate personnel in the prescribed company procedures and operations of all equipment
Determine procedures and work schedules for the installation
Switch and take clearances of all electrical equipment necessary to complete the assigned tasks
Machines and Equipment Operated as Part of the Job:
Pickup trucks, material trucks, service trucks, hydraulic and pneumatic tools, portable generator, hand tools, ladders, small hand tools, test instruments, lifting devices, bucket trucks, vacuum pumps, de-gassing trailer, acetylene and arc welding and rigging ability.
Working Conditions:
Variations in workload: Varies from moderate to extremely strenuous with peak periods of activity during outages
Variations in amount required: Extremely close attention to detail on a continual basis
Lifting, climbing, shoveling, pulling, stooping and unusual physical positions: i.e., working in elevated positions with body belts and using both hands even though the position may be abnormal
Frequent overtime and call outs. Adverse weather conditions are not unusual. Overnight travel required.
Position typically works 4 days a week, 10-hour shifts, Monday-Thursday.
The Construction and Skilled Trades (CAST test) is required for this position.
Basic Qualifications Electrician Apprentice
High School Diploma/GED
Must possess ability to obtain a Florida class A CDL within 6 months of start date.

Key Responsibilities
For Gas Trader:

Develop and maintain daily/monthly operational reports.
Monitor market conditions, operations, and pipeline constraints.
Collaborate closely with team members in an open trade floor environment.
For Senior Gas Trader (in addition to above):
Develop and execute daily strategy and portfolio optimization.
Maximize gains through profitable, low-risk transactions.
Trade natural gas (physical, options) within risk management guidelines.
Provide mentoring and technical guidance to Gas Schedulers and Gas Traders.
Present analysis and initiatives to management and assist with strategic decisions.
What You Need to Succeed
Gas Trader:
High School Diploma from an accredited institution.
Minimum 6 years of related experience, including 2 years in natural gas or power trading.
Strong knowledge of interstate pipeline electronic nominations.
Analytical skills and ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
Senior Gas Trader:
High School Diploma or equivalent (bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred).
Minimum 8 years of related experience, including 2 years in energy commodity trading.
Advanced knowledge of trading tools and indices (OTC, NYMEX).
Strong negotiation, leadership, and strategic thinking skills.
Experience presenting analysis and owning portfolio results.

This highly visible position is responsible for the coordination and development of interactions between Peoples Gas and the Florida Public Service Commission (FPSC) and other related regulatory groups (within and outside Florida), for monitoring and communicating regulatory developments and for maintaining favorable regulatory relations.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university in accounting, finance, economics, engineering or business major.
In lieu of a bachelor's degree, an additional 2 years of experience with an associates degree from an accredited college/university may be considered.
Minimum of 6 years of related experience consists of: general knowledge of industry structure, history, utility finance or accounting practices, ratemaking practices, legal or regulatory processes.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor regulatory activity and trends: Attend Commission workshops, agendas, and internal affairs meetings; monitor current FPSC dockets and filings; monitor Florida Administrative Weekly notices; attend and participate in NARUC and SEARUC meetings to identify and influence activities which may affect the company; ensure that information developed through these activities is communicated to affected personnel or departments in timely and coordinated fashion.
Coordinate interactions with FPSC and other regulatory agencies and stakeholders: Serve as the company's liaison with the FPSC on docketed and undocketed matters, including Commission audits and reviews. Coordinate the company's participation in FPSC rulemaking proceedings; remain current on all laws and rules affecting contact with Commissioners and staff; identify appropriate company personnel to participate in meetings, and provide other assistance as needed; communicate Peoples Gas regulatory positions to the Commission and outside parties; serve as liaison with the Florida Office of Public Counsel and other groups that typically intervene in Peoples Gas dockets; coordinate regulatory activities, when appropriate, with other Florida utilities.
Participate in the development of appropriate regulatory strategies: Review potential FPSC regulatory filings; coordinate responses to commission data requests; provide regulatory expertise and guidance to other Regulatory team members and departments concerning potential regulatory treatments and procedures; participate in the development of appropriate regulatory strategies; coordinate activities with Tallahassee and other legal counsel.
Serve as Peoples Gas' Tallahassee contact for the State Emergency Operations Center when necessary: During emergencies provide information regarding outages, system restoration and other information to the State EOC or appropriate contact; participate in EOC drills and exercises; participate in development of Peoples Gas' emergency operation policies and procedures.
Assist Governmental Affairs: Provide assistance to State Government Affairs by reviewing proposed legislation concerning regulatory policy and other matters and providing feedback regarding whether the proposed provisions are consistent with company goals and objectives; provide analyses and recommendations to facilitate development of company positions on energy and other policy matters.
Development and implementation of action plans to advance local initiatives, franchise agreements and other External Affairs issues.

HOW YOU'LL HELP DRIVE THE FUTURE OF NATURAL GAS?
Our Utility Technician performs duties related to the operation, service, and/or location of natural gas pipelines; or a combination of such duties. May perform the new construction, installation and/or maintenance of gas distribution systems, and/or residential, commercial and industrial metering equipment. Ensures the safety of employees and customers. Specific duties will be determined by the operational needs of the assigned location.

Successful candidate must reside within 45 minutes of the Orlando Division office location to ensure business continuity and emergency response time.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Performs a combination of the following:
Reads meters and meter instruments, turns on and off residential and commercial gas service, appliances and equipment, including CNG and also may convert appliances. Sets and changes out residential and commercial meters/regulators. Performs duties in operation, maintenance and service of meters and regulators.
Investigates metering equipment related to residential and commercial high-bill complaints or questionable/unusual low consumption readings.
Fabricates and joins various types and sizes of gas piping/fittings including gas mains, services and meter sets, may also perform electric and/or gas welding. Installs and maintains pipe in accordance with construction and maintenance standards. Includes the operation of various equipment such as boring equipment, hydraulic tools, backhoe, stopping and tapping equipment and other machines used in distribution construction.
Performs locating of underground natural gas systems.
Performs compliance inspections/activities related to Cathodic Protection (CP), corrosion, relief/gate/regulator stations and leak/CP surveys.
Responds to leaks and /or emergency situations, and completes appropriate reports and forms.
May provide leadership and training to Apprentices or team members with less experience.
Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Must Haves:
High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited school/institution.
Valid Florida Driver's License with an acceptable driving record; a CDL may be required with certain positions/assignments.
Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience performing the duties and responsibilities of this position; or minimum of 3 to 4 years of natural gas operations experience related to the duties and responsibilities of this position.
Must be able to proficiently perform all the functions of the PGS Apprentice Utility Technician position.
Must understand basic map reading and be able to operate a computer, communication devices, power tools and equipment appropriate to the position/assignment.
Must be able to perform basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide, decimals, fractions, basic algebra and geometry).
Must possess sound judgment.

THIS POSITION IS FOR TEMPORARY WORK AND OUTAGE WORK.
Depending upon the desired qualifications of the successful candidate, the hiring manager may elect to fill this position at a higher level within the job hierarchy.
Perform all duties of all classifications through Laborer, Apprentice Mechanic and Certified Welder Mechanic.
Responsibilities
* Performs Journeyman level duties in the installation, repair and maintenance to facility mechanical support equipment, systems and components. Also, perform the duties of lower classifications in this line of progression.
* Performs corrective and preventive mechanical maintenance tasks. Interprets design drawings and O&M manuals in locating and diagnosing trouble in equipment, components and systems. Replaces worn damaged or failed equipment and components in support of facility operations.
* Repairs mechanical units for turbine generators, using proper tools and equipment.
* Repairs the mechanical and hydraulic systems of the boiler feed pumps. Must be able to align couplings and repair bearings and other parts as necessary.
* Repairs the condensate and circulating water systems. Be able to check clearances, align couplings and repair systems such as traveling screens where necessary.
* Repairs the component parts of all fans and be able to align couplings and repair or replace bearings.
* Identifies and repairs plant component parts of plant systems (feed water systems, hydraulic systems, fuel handling systems, pumps and pumping systems, lubricating systems, fuel oil systems, fire systems, valves, packing, condensers,
* piping and piping systems, etc).
* Proficient in welding, fabrication, materials troubleshooting and repairs.
* Performs emergency repairs to systems, equipment and components. Record the as-found condition as well as the repaired condition.
* Assists Engineering with modifications/revisions to plant systems, equipment and/or components.
* Demonstrates and conducts any required inspections/post-maintenance testing of systems, equipment and components as necessary to complete work packages and ensures systems, equipment and components are returned to
* operational conditions.
* Assists other crafts in performing mechanical maintenance tasks that are beyond the maintenance department's capability. Provides technical support for this work.
* Maintains accountability of property, including tools and maintenance equipment.
* Performs Preventive Maintenance tasks, following predetermined checklists in the performance of preventive maintenance.
* Other duties as assigned. Formal welding training such as vocational/technical school, trade school, military or apprenticeship is required.
Working Conditions
* Onsite Mobility Classification - Work will be performed at a company facility
* Must be able to climb and work in high places.
* Must be capable of working around rotating equipment and high pressure systems of power plants
* Must be able to work in confined spaces
* Must be capable of wearing personal protective equipment
* Must be able to perform all duties required for this position
* Must be able to work safely and efficiently around and with energized circuits, in hot, cold and dusty environment and occasional long hours and weekends
* Cannot be impaired by color-blindness.
Basic/Required Qualifications
* Minimum 2+ years work experience in journeyman welder/mechanic position with one year in power plant or related industry required.
* Understanding of power plant dynamics
* Understanding of thermodynamic and heat transfer applications
* Understanding of welding theory and application
Desired Qualifications
* Minimum two years work experience in journeyman welder/mechanic position with one year in power plant or related industry desired.
* Must be able to demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills
* Formal welding certification from a vocational - technical school, trade school, military or apprenticeship is desired
Specific Requirements
* Candidates must pass switching and tagging test and all three types of welding tests as required by the Company, which includes the heavy wall alloy pipe test.

POSITION CONCEPT
Develop, implement and administer an industry best practice approach to achieving the highest level of performance from Electric Delivery Distribution assets for every valuable capital and operating dollar spent. Facilitate system root cause analysis, tracking and analyzing Distribution, Substation and Transmission reliability metrics for Electric Delivery.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (D&R)
Development and implementation of the distribution portion of the Electric Delivery Asset Management Plan which includes design/equipment specification review; health, criticality, and risk assessments; inspection, monitoring, and testing strategies; performance, and maintenance requirements. 20%
Development and implementation of the distribution portion of a comprehensive Electric Delivery Reliability Improvement Plan using empirical data to predict reliability improvements. 20%
Supervise the tracking, analysis and reporting of reliability metrics for all asset classes. Lead all efforts for continuous improvement of such tracking and analysis. Provide planning, feedback and skill building to Reliability team members. Administer the Performance Review (PR) and Individual Development Plan (IDP) process. 20%
Facilitation of system root cause analysis for all asset classes. Facilitation and tracking of resulting action plans to improve system performance. 20%
Support the development, implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive data collection and predictive modeling tool for distribution assets that assists in the prioritization of capital expenditure and complements the Asset Management and Reliability Improvement Plans. 10%
Maintain measurement of the distribution asset portfolio performance to ensure achievement of organization vision and goals through performance benchmarking. 10%
This Progression includes classifications from multiple levels of the Engineering Progression. The majority of the work is performed independently. Projects range from routine to complex.
LEVEL SCOPE AND ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
A combined maximum of one year of work experience credit may be granted for co-op work experience, an advanced degree, and/or a PE license.
Associate Engineer
