WHAT YOU'LL DO Under limited supervision perform standard but diversified general office duties requiring some knowledge of the unit's operation and company procedures.
This position is located in Palm River's Training Department.
Advancement to this level is based on the business needs of the department. Advancement is not automatic, i.e., based solely on time in the job, but will be based on the employee's performance, qualifications, and the technical needs of the department.
A Microsoft Assessment may be provided to gage level of proficiency.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Performs a combination of the following:
Communicate with internal and external customers: Respond to general inquires and telephone calls by researching information and taking detailed messages, respond to escalated customer service complaints and works with the customer for a successful resolution, review and answer routine correspondence.
General Data Maintenance and Reporting: Create and maintain basic charts, graphs, spreadsheets and databases. Prepare summary information for manager's review. Prepare and update recurring and routine internal reports, collect and verify data. Assist in overall coordination and data collection. Check documents for accuracy and completeness, cross reference information.
Prepare and Process Invoicing and Time Administration: Tracks and records time keeping data, creates requisitions, purchase orders, Service Entry Sheets, uniform orders and safety shoes and process energy conservation rebates following standard procedures. Assists employees with their P-Card statements and ensures all required documentation is attached and submits to local management for approval. Creates purchase requisitions and enters information into project database (Powerplant), ensuring accuracy of pipe charges.
Gas Account and Gas Facility Research and Administration: Handles requests for demolitions, signs off on demolition permits and arranges for an account to be cut and capped. Responds to and researches requests for easements and rights-of-way. Conducts periodic audit of accounts. Corrects errors in a customer's gas usage and adjusts accounts arranging for a corrected bill to be mailed. Maintains as-built received from Contractors for entry into Mapping System. Processes General Service Agreements and creates job orders and premises for new account. Processes energy conservation rebates.
Customer Information and Order System Research, Tracking and Scheduling: Researches, updates and maintains a variety of customer information, service order, work order and compliance systems. This may include scheduling and tracking compliance or collections related service or inspection orders as well consolidating customer payments received at the local Division. May also serve as appoint of contact for field personnel.
Able to assist with certain functions of a Work Coordinator by answering call center calls, routing leak calls and distributing and scheduling workload to the appropriate field technicians as needed with the support of the Work Coordinator.
Maintain files record keeping activities and confidential data.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities and assist other personnel as needed.

Must Haves:
High School Diploma or GED.

The Director Director Design and Construction is responsible for leading the teams across the state that handle the design and construction of all new residential and commercial natural gas services and other construction activities. Oversee the annual budget of around $150M in capital projects.
Ensure that design and construction activities align with safety standards, project timelines, and cost-efficiency goals.
Collaborate with other departments such as Engineering, Operations, Safety, Supply Chain, and Technology to improve project outcomes and operational effectiveness
Strategic Planning and Continuous Improvement

Develop and maintain the coordination of the Regulatory Affairs Intranet website (company-wide) by ensuring timely updates of company tariff changes and maintaining the Regulatory calendar. Monitor and provide same-day responses to key participants on all FPSC Agenda Conference items.
Serve as a key liaison between internal departments and state/federal regulatory agencies, proactively resolving variances and ensuring all filings meet regulatory standards.
Monitor and communicate regulatory activities pending before the FERC, FPSC, and other state regulatory agencies, including reviewing legal filings for changes to the Florida Administrative Code, Florida Statutes, proposed rulemaking, and communicating necessary compliance issues required by Peoples Gas and SeaCoast. Work with FERC-mandated and department-specific software, requiring technical analysis and knowledge of relational databases.

Job Summary

Perform operation, planned and unplanned maintenance on substation equipment at the Combustion Turbine facility.

Our Utility Technician performs duties related to the operation, service, and/or location of natural gas pipelines; or a combination of such duties. Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Performs a combination of the following:
Reads meters and meter instruments, turns on and off residential and commercial gas service, appliances and equipment, including CNG and also may convert appliances. Sets and changes out residential and commercial meters/regulators. Performs duties in operation, maintenance and service of meters and regulators.
Investigates metering equipment related to residential and commercial high-bill complaints or questionable/unusual low consumption readings.
Fabricates and joins various types and sizes of gas piping/fittings including gas mains, services and meter sets, may also perform electric and/or gas welding. Installs and maintains pipe in accordance with construction and maintenance standards. Includes the operation of various equipment such as boring equipment, hydraulic tools, backhoe, stopping and tapping equipment and other machines used in distribution construction.
Performs locating of underground natural gas systems.
Performs compliance inspections/activities related to Cathodic Protection (CP), corrosion, relief/gate/regulator stations and leak/CP surveys.
Responds to leaks and /or emergency situations, and completes appropriate reports and forms.
May provide leadership and training to Apprentices or team members with less experience.
Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Must Haves:
High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited school/institution.
Valid Florida Driver's License with an acceptable driving record; a CDL may be required with certain positions/assignments.
Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience performing the duties and responsibilities of this position; or minimum of 3 to 4 years of natural gas operations experience related to the duties and responsibilities of this position.
Must be able to proficiently perform all the functions of the PGS Apprentice Utility Technician position.

Position Summary
System Protection & Control Technician must be able to calibrate, install, maintain, and repair protective relays and associated equipment to ensure the efficient, safe, reliable operation of the Duke Energy Electric Grid. The System Protection & Control Technician must be able to work in various working environments from generation plants, transmission switch yards and control houses, and distribution substations. This position must maintain a high level of awareness for hazard recognition and maintain safe work practices. Perform switching and tagging to obtain proper clearance on equipment for repair, maintenance, or construction work per procedure.
Position has call-out responsibilities and must be available to work all hours as needed, day or night, weekends, or holidays, and in all weather conditions. PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Receive and respond to excavation notices, as appropriate, adhering to company policies, and state one-call requirements utilizing an electronic locate ticket management system. Accurately locate and mark the location of underground assets on roadways, private property, easements, and other locations, using required spray paints, flags, and other related equipment. Operate electronic detection equipment to locate and mark underground pipeline facilities within prescribed accuracy limits.
Perform light excavation with hand tools to expose buried utilities when necessary.
Provide electronic map updates and facility record corrections to GIS team as needed.
Assist with damaged facility investigations, root cause evaluations, data gathering, and completion of required documentation related to excavation damages.
Build and maintain relationships with excavation contractors to reduce damages.
Assist other employees as needed and is available for emergency locate response call-out on a rotating or as-needed basis, perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
