Job Summary
The Nursing Assistant (NA) serves as caregiver to the resident during the scheduled work period in long term care. Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned resident under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). Knowledge of and delivers age-appropriate care related to the physical and psychological needs of the resident as per care plan. Considered a member of the nursing team and is expected to know, and will be held accountable for, following infection prevention and control policies and Personal Protective Equipment use. Provides assistance with basic health care needs including daily living activities that may include, but are not limited to, bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned resident. Assists the resident in transferring, repositioning, and walking using correct and appropriate transfer techniques and equipment and also provides range of motion and passive exercises. Completes tasks related to food preparation and dining, while creating a positive dining experience for the resident. Assists residents with meals and snacks, provides water and supplements as appropriate.
The NA aids providers and nursing staff members with procedures, if needed. Documents resident interactions as needed and the outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary. Communicates resident's changing condition and care related concerns/responses to the charge nurse. Collects non-invasive body fluid specimens and gathers vital signs. Provides housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents with keeping living areas clean and operational. Provides assistance and documentation with wellness and recreational programs and encourages residents to participate. May participate in departmental/organization committees and task forces as needed.
Qualifications
High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
Minimum age of 16. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement. CNA training and certification required and provided by facility.
Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year. A minimum of 12 hours continuing education are required annually. Maintains all department specific required certifications.
When applicable, for applicable states, certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.
Dependent on facility and required responsibilities, this role may classify as a Sanford Category II Driver requiring a motor
vehicle report and proof of valid driver's license. Also must be medically qualified to perform the essential driving functions of
this position as per our Sanford Driving Policy per the leaders request.

* Conducting criminal investigations, preparing affidavits for warrants based on probable cause and executing warrants.
* Enforcing the laws that protect America's homeland by the detection, interdiction, and apprehension of those who attempt to illegally enter or smuggle any person or contraband across our Nation's sovereign borders.
* Participating and representing the Agency in multi-agency task force operations.

Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
Pick up and transport waste safely according to all federal, state, and local rules and regulations. Label containers and complete pre-printed manifests & work orders while adhering to your assigned route.
* Classify, segregate and inventory waste containers in storage for shipment. Conducts lab pack operations. Pack small laboratory containers of chemical waste into larger containers for shipment.
* Performs various regulatory Training, compliance and safety tasks including, but not limited to: Pre-trip inspections of vehicle, report all losses, spills, accidents, Leaking Containers, waste diversion and safety violations to supervisor immediately.
* Professional contact with all levels of Customers daily in delivering, promoting, and collecting waste containers. Regular contact with many different levels of personnel.
* Overnights Required.
* Provide services related to hazardous and non-hazardous waste removal from customer sites.
* Process and prepare Universal Hazardous Waste manifests, bills of lading and Land Disposal Restrictions (LDRs) for hazardous waste shipment according to state, EPA and DOT regulations.
* Performs warehouse work related to receipt, shipment, storage, distribution, or delivery of waste materials. Loads, unloads, moves, or stores items according to delivery or routing documents, or supervisor instructions and performing general housekeeping.
* Adhere to assigned route via electronic routing system with any deviations escalated to Management.
* Operates a Hand Truck, Drum Dolly, Pallet Jack & Forklift.
* Maintain the basic functionality & cleanliness of assigned company vehicle & equipment.
* Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Basic Required Qualifications:
* High school diploma or GED.
* Must be at least 21 years of age.
* CDL Class B.
DOT HAZMAT Endorsement
* Basic Computer Skills.
* Must have the ability to Perform & Maintain all assigned training related to Essential functions.
* Maintains a current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC)
Preferred Qualifications:
* Strong working knowledge of Environmental / Regulatory / DOT rules and regulations.
* Knowledge on how to use & troubleshoot computer software applications including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
* Ability to read a map.
* Driver E-Log Experience
* Some College or waste industry experience

Duties/Responsibilities:
General
Required full-time teaching load is 4/4 with a 3-credit release in each semester for administrative oversight of mathematics instructors and the assessment of math courses and curricular offerings.
Attend Chapel.
Attend College and Arts & Sciences department meetings.
Hold weekly office hours for student and faculty consultation and support during fall and spring semesters.
Teach courses as assigned at the undergraduate, adult education, and/or graduate level in face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats which may require teaching during the day, evening, and/or weekend.
Participate on assigned faculty committee(s).
Participate in ongoing professional development and LBC | Capital professional development.
Curriculum
Coordinate the development, assessment, and revisions of Academic Program(s)/discipline and courses.
Design and develop new courses to enhance the existing curriculum.
Review and revise curricular offerings to meet accreditation and industry expectations and standards.
Submit annual assessment and program review to Chair.
Submit at least one assessment annotation per semester for a course taught.
Personnel
Cooperate with the Chair to recruit, schedule, observe, and support adjuncts in discipline.
Submit recommendations to hire FT and PT faculty to Chair.
Review course syllabi of discipline/program faculty.
Observe and evaluate adjunct department faculty in the corresponding discipline(s) and submit observations reports to department .
Enrollment and Retention
Determine course placement for incoming students, as needed.
Approve transfer credits/exceptions to requirements for core/program completion.
Administrative Oversight
Submit undergraduate final grade-standing reports for remedial math tracks (060) to the Registrar for schedule changes.
Coordinate MAT course planning by rostering classes and assigning instructors.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
