They allow staff to help clients in a way that utilizes their strengths
The cons are: that decisions are made with little on-the-ground knowledge, they have reached record earnings last year yet makes cuts to staffing and services while asking the burden be absorbed by staff, shows little dignity or value towards their staff necessitating union representation.
They allow overnight staff to work on homework during down times.
I don't.
Having a union so that employees were less asked to compensate with their own resources.
I did research on the company's mission statement, demographic of customers, compared them to similar companies, and interviewed current employees.
Less than average, especially for administering medications and other medical procedures.

I enjoy the clients and coworkers.
Company culture of advocating for client rights, team collaborative environment. Benefits and time off accumulation were great.
Lower pay and scheduling seemed to make it hard to be fully-staffed which made the job more challenging. No room for advancement without advanced degree.
Company vestment benefits and 3% company 401k contribution that was made regardless of your own contribution.
I like the community and camaraderie.
I didn't like working at a school.
