Telecare provides a full range of services and supports to individuals with mental illness and complex needs through contracts with large insurance companies, medical centers, and county and state government. Telecare serves over 29,000 clients each year and is nationally accredited by the Joint Commission (JCAHO) and the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). Telecare has received commendations of excellence from the California Endowment, the California Healthcare Foundation, the California Wellness Foundation, and the Board of Supervisors in Alameda, Los Angeles, and San Mateo Counties. The company has been repeatedly named one of the Best Places to Work in the Greater Bay Area by the San Francisco Business Times.I have led Telecare since the unexpected death of my father in 1987. I left a seven-year career in investment banking to carry on my family's legacy. I have assumed several other leadership positions in the community, including advisory work at the UC Berkeley School of Public Health, the Wexner Heritage Foundation, and membership in the Young President's OrganizationI’m always looking to connect with others who share my passion for providing hope to individuals with serious mental illness including industry leaders and potential customers/partners

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan and is a member of College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME), the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), and the San Francisco CIO Leadership Network.

Chin is active in a variety of organizations. He serves on the Board of Directors of Golden Gate Regional Center and Golden Gate Regional Foundation. He is a parent volunteer and chair of the Bay Area Early Start Strategic Taskforce. He is also a community volunteer on the Marin County Early Intervention Team.

Pros of working at Telecare

Company culture of advocating for client rights, team collaborative environment. Benefits and time off accumulation were great.

Cons of working at Telecare

Lower pay and scheduling seemed to make it hard to be fully-staffed which made the job more challenging. No room for advancement without advanced degree.
