The Muriel Wright Recovery Center CRT is a 15-bed, voluntary crisis residential treatment center on Santa Clara County's Muriel Wright behavioral health campus in San Jose, California. The CRT is co-located on the same campus as the Substance Use Treatment Services (SUTS) program. The program was created as an alternative to and diversion from Emergency Psychiatric Services (EPS), acute psychiatric hospitalization, and incarceration. The CRT will serve a co-ed population with 90% male and 10% female census predicted; all referrals will be persons with justice-involved mental health status. The average length of stay for this program is 14-21 days. The Muriel Wright Recovery Center CRT program is under contract with Santa Clara County Behavioral Health Services Department.

The Windsor Center is a short-stay crisis stabilization unit (CSU) that offers 24/7 services to adults and youth. POSITION SUMMARY

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
o Masters in Social Services with a state license
o Four (4) years of experience in an administrative management position in a health care setting

* Understanding of community mental health services, psychiatric rehabilitation concepts, and the recovery philosophy
* Must be at least 21 years of age
* Must be CPR, First Aid, and CPI certified (hands-on course) on date of employment or prior to providing direct client care and maintain current certification throughout employment

QUALIFICATIONS
One (1) year of experience with nursing an/or psychiatric clients in a clinic, hospital or a long-term care facility is preferred.
Knowledge of basic psychiatric and nursing skills, including nursing interventions is essential.
Certification as a CNA or its equivalent is acceptable documentation of nursing skills knowledge.
A High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
Good communication skills and a desire to work with severely mentally impaired adults is crucial.
Incumbents must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and be proficient in reading, speaking and writing English.
Applicant must be finger printed, sign under penalty of perjury that there has been no conviction of any crime, other than minor traffic offenses, and receive clearance from the Department of Justice.

What You Bring to the Table (Must Have)
* High School Diploma or G.E.D and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC), or Certified Addiction Treatment Counselor (CATC), Substance Use Disorder Certified Counselor (SUDCC, SUDCC II, III, IV).
* Six (6) months' experience in addictions setting
* All certifications must be maintained for duration of employment
* Within two (2) months of employment, ability to apply financial requirements for billing and learn billing codes

With the support of the Rehabilitation Therapist Supervisor, the Rehabilitation Counselor provides rehabilitation therapy services to clients, both on an individual and group basis, and serves as a member of the multi-disciplinary Recovery Team.

A B.A. degree in psychology or related field is required. A valid California Drivers License and a driving record that ensures insurability to drive company vehicles are also required. An understanding of psychiatric illness and Recovery principles is essential. Applicant must receive clearance from the Department of Justice. Experience may be substituted for education.
