Needs an individual that can operate at an expert level with VMware virtualization environments, mid to high-end Cisco networking, and Dell/EMC Unity, VNX, and VXRail storage.


Complete Description:
This position will:

•Provide advanced technical work in supporting and implementing supported infrastructure technologies.
•Provide consultation, and/or training to team members and other staff regarding supported infrastructure technologies.
•Supported infrastructure technologies include: Microsoft Active Directory, server hardware/software, network hardware/software, storage hardware/networking, helpdesk, virtual environments, email encryption/retention, Microsoft clustering/load balancing, and disaster recovery for the Department of State Treasurer (DST).
•Plan and manage resources and scheduling for small projects.
•Assist management in strategic IT planning, and participate in applications development, and system and network design and integration.
•Effectively support clients and provide technical guidance to technicians and analysts.
•Interact with a broad range of clients and/or technology support employees requiring very strong communication skills and ability to use a wide range of technical resources for providing technical support to clients.


Management Preferences:

•Experience managing layer II and layer III networks.
•Experience with Cisco networking, supporting and troubleshooting TCP/IP networks, experience managing Microsoft Active Directory.
•Experience with configuring and managing Microsoft clustering and network load balancing.
•Experience with VMware and proficiency in supporting Windows operating systems.
•Experience with PowerShell.
•Experience with storage and SAN technologies.

•Ability to lead and manage technical projects of varying scale under minimal supervision.

Your Impact

* Troubleshoot, install, configure, repair, deploy and/or maintain workstations, phones, printers, wireless devices, and any network and communication equipment.
* Participate in the testing and evaluation of new hardware and software.
* Execute white glove onsite and remote user computer hardware, software and peripheral setups, installations, and configurations.
* Provide back up support for Service Desk and Systems Engineer.
* Maintain active directory and database updates.
* Contribute positively to our customer service, incident, and request service level agreements. This includes being able to shift focus to high priority escalations.
* Initiate escalation and facilitate resolution of technical issues with IT teams.
* Contribute and document support knowledge articles and/or business reference material.
* Serve as a subject matter expert for key business projects.
* Coordinate with more experienced technicians to troubleshoot and solve complex problems.
* Commit to individual goals by completing ongoing training and development.
* Perform responsibilities within established SOX, Security, and Asset management compliance criteria.

Minimum Qualifications

* A high school diploma with at least 4 years' hands on experience troubleshooting, configuring and installing hardware and software.
* Strong knowledge working with conference room audio visual.
* Ability to critically evaluate, troubleshoot, and document issues.
* Must be able to travel out-of-state on occasion for special projects.
* Strong time management skills with the ability to work autonomously.
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Prefer:

* Experience working with analog lines, VOIP, 0365, desk phone and mobile device hardware.
* Knowledge using mobile device platforms, such as InTune, MobileIron, Apple Business Manager, and Knox.
* Imaging and deployment experience using SCCM.
