SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The scope of work to be performed by the electronic technician communications includes, but is not limited to, providing a central clearing-house point for Amtrak communications circuit problems. Utilize digital computer hardware and remote microprocessor-controlled equipment to provide technical and troubleshooting assistance to field personnel in order to correct problems. Provide interface between Amtrak, outside providers, and resellers and help determine area of responsibility as problems develop. Skills, Experience and Requirements All technicians must have: Aptitude to build rapport quickly.
