Purpose:
Performs mobile pre-delivery inspections and on-site equipment diagnostics, service, repair, and maintenance work in line with the service programs. May require some direction or guidance from the Service Manager or Location Manager.
Responsibilities:
o Performs on-site service on all makes of Turf and small Agricultural equipment.
o Actively promotes and sells dealership specific mobile service programs directly to customers
o Coordinates with Service Manager or Location Manager to establish and implement effective processes for all Turf and small Agricultural services offered through dealership specific service programs
o Reviews and explains any maintenance, repair or other service concerns directly with the customer and documents on work order

Responsibilities
* Removes, disassembles, assembles, and installs components and parts.
* Identify the problem and cause of failure through logical troubleshooting steps.
* Determines reusability of parts in accordance with published Caterpillar reusability guidelines.
* Orders replacement parts ensuring that parts ordered are correct and complete at time of order.
* Cleans, repairs, reconditions, and maintains equipment and components.

Qualifications

* High school diploma or (GED) equivalent.
* Three years experience as an Earthmoving Shop Technician working with heavy equipment.
* Experience on CAT heavy equipment or similar equipment.
* Proficient in mechanical systems (transmissions, engines, hydraulics, etc.).
* Ability to diagnose and repair CAT heavy equipment and components in the field.
* DOT and MSHA certifications required.
* Proficient in the use of a computer and related software (Word, Excel, etc.).
* Strong problem solving skills and be detailed oriented with a high level of accuracy.
* Ability to operate a service vehicle.
* Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
* Strong math skills.
* Able to lift more than 50 pounds.
* Ability to perform duties with a sense of urgency, exceeding customer expectations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Inspects property on a regular basis and notifies responsible parties of deficiencies or items requiring attention.
• Responds to weather related circumstances, which may typically require the removal of snow, debris, etc.
• Completes all minor repairs and maintenance of physical plant, doors, windows, railings, ceiling tile, etc.

• Performs all work with a minimum of disruption and supervision.
• Conducts immediate clean-up of work area.
• Reports any impending supply of material shortages to the Maintenance Coordinator.
• Advices Facility Coordinator of any equipment problem.
• Complies with all agency policies and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
