Displays and maintains merchandise on end caps, shelves, counters or tables following company plan-o-gram, building displays when necessary to attract customers and promote sales within specified guidelines by your management team. Maintains on-hand integrity through inventory adjustment reports including; cycle count, negative on-hand. Follows the nightly maintenance checklist to ensure proper store recovery and cleanliness. Maintains familiarity with new products and ad merchandise. Has sound awareness of surroundings, customers, etc. and practices loss prevention techniques to minimize shoplifting losses. Working knowledge of the tools available to operate the store; including, but not limited to: RF Gun, Back Office Procedures and the use of Store Opportunities. Follows GLA policies and procedures for all transactions. Within six months of the date of hire they must successfully pass the Michigan CDL skills/road test. Responsibilities * Perform splicing and termination of fiber optic cables in various environments. * Test and troubleshoot fiber optic systems to ensure proper functionality and performance. * Maintain accurate records of work performed, including splicing diagrams and test results. * Collaborate with project managers and other technicians to plan and execute fiber optic installation projects. * Adhere to safety protocols and procedures while working on-site and handling equipment. * Conduct regular maintenance and repair on existing fiber optic networks as needed. * Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in fiber optic technology. * Other duties as assigned. Requirements * High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in telecommunications preferred. * Proven experience in fiber optic splicing and installation in a telecommunications environment. * Strong understanding of optical networks and fiber optic components. * Proficient in using fiber optic test equipment, such as OTDR and power meters. * Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, blueprints, and diagrams. * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. * Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
