This role focuses exclusively on quantifying work, preparing plan data for takeoff, and validating quantities to ensure bids are competitive, complete, and defensible. This position does not perform design or drafting work. Instead, it converts plan sets and specifications into clear, verified quantity data using AGTEK and related takeoff tools. Core Responsibilities Quantity Takeoff & Model Preparation Perform detailed AGTEK takeoffs for earthwork, utilities, paving, and concrete-related scopes. Import, clean, and organize plan files for takeoff accuracy and consistency. Set up takeoff models and layers according to Burns Dirt estimating standards. Identify missing, conflicting, or unclear information in plan sets prior to takeoff. Quality Assurance & Verification QA all quantities by cross-checking plans, profiles, details, and specifications. Compare quantities across plan sheets to ensure consistency and completeness. Verify takeoffs align with historical production assumptions and estimating needs. Flag scope gaps, assumptions, or risk items for estimator review. Documentation & Deliverables Generate clear, organized quantity summaries for estimators. Redline plan sheets to document takeoff assumptions, clarifications, and revisions. Maintain clean, standardized digital project folders and version control. Archive takeoff files for post-bid reference and historical cost analysis. Collaboration & Support Work closely with estimators to clarify scope, quantities, and bid priorities. Participate in pre-bid plan reviews and internal estimating discussions as needed. Support bid deadlines by managing workload across multiple active pursuits. Continuous Improvement Maintain and improve takeoff templates, standards, and workflows. Contribute to estimating process improvements and accuracy benchmarking. We are seeking experienced Low Voltage installation technicians who are personable, have good communication skills, like to create with their hands, are tech savvy, and love to be a part of a team. Preferred candidates will have two to three years' experience in at least one of the following: Cabling: Standards based installation of low voltage cables for Network infrastructure, Access Control, Video Surveillance, and Audio/Video Systems. Electrical Work: Installation of various low voltage devices such as security cameras, card readers, door locks, racks, cable tray and conduit. Tools and Equipment: Safely operate and use of hand tools, powered hand tools, ladders, lifts, and company vehicles. Regional Notes: Knoxville Area: Installation Technicians are responsible to meet Lead Tech at the local job site each day. Nashville Area: Installation Technicians meet at the SI Main office each day. Memphis Area: Installation Technicians are responsible to meet Lead Tech at the local job site each day. Day to Day Responsibilities include: Work with Lead Technicians and Project Leaders to meet high quality standards of installation Install cabling, security devices, and low voltage equipment in existing and new construction Commission, test, and document installations using cable testers, video monitors, and remote support. Assist in onsite tracking of materials used on the job site. Report time used and progress of installation to Lead Technicians, Project Leaders, and Project Managers using computer or phone applications as required. Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience running cables in a commercial setting. Ability to lift/move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 lbs. Ability to work from ladders or man lifts at extended heights. Must be able to differentiate colors. Must be comfortable standing for long periods of time and complete overhead work for long periods of time. Must have reliable transportation to and from work each day. What we offer... We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Service Technician to join our team in Memphis, TN. As a Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing preventative and emergency maintenance and repairs on our water dispensing cabinets. Job Duties Establishing and fostering positive relationships with both customers and store management through effective communication and service delivery. Demonstrating exceptional customer service skills to ensure a satisfying experience for clients. Conducting proactive maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, UV lamp installations, battery changes, and equipment upgrades. Employing troubleshooting skills to accurately read and report pressure gauges, flow meters, and detect leaks. Proficiently using multi-meters and conducting water sampling tests. Effectively addressing repair needs, including but not limited to fixing leaks, tightening fittings, and replacing valves, fittings, tubing, electrical wires, and components. Being available for occasional emergency service calls, which may occur during regular or off-business hours. Our commitment is to have a skilled service technician on-site within 24-48 hours or sooner for urgent situations.
