Additional Notes This is a 9-month field service project requiring a mix of local travel (within driving distance, home nightly) and regional travel that involves weekly overnight stays from Sunday through Thursday when flying to client sites. Standard work schedule is Monday-Friday, 8 AM-5 PM, with occasional overtime based on travel or site workload. Even during travel weeks, Fridays will be reserved for a remote meeting with the team lead once the technician returns home. Role is 100% onsite at client locations; no remote work outside of Friday meetings. A valid state driver's license (Real ID compliant), a clean MVR, and a reliable personal vehicle are required for daily field travel. Top required skills are electro-mechanical troubleshooting and printer hardware break-fix experience. A Lexmark certification is preferred but not required. Duties may include replacing printer parts, paper feed, power supply, changing the print head, changing toner drum, transfer belt, image unit. Perform complex upgrades and troubleshooting of printers, servers, hard drives, and monitor systems. Provide on-site technical support to internal or external customers in resolving complex or escalated technology issues on operational or maintenance aspects of system equipment. Install and remove equipment and systems as required. Responsible for day-to-day operation of applications and equipment and serve as a customer contact on technical and service-related problems. Ensure that all schedules, transmission, on-line systems, and problems are resolved in an accurate and timely manner. Responsibilities Perform all brake, front end and alignment maintenance as well as mechanical work in accordance with all company programs, policies, and procedures Train and coach other employees in accordance with all company programs, policies and procedures Maintain the orderly flow of customer service assignment to ensure productivity Ensure that Big O's Extra Care Services are extended to all customers Properly diagnose and repair of all customers' vehicles, performing quality control of all shop functions Attend weekly store meetings to review safety issues, store policies, procedures, and product information changes as required Assist in the organizing, documenting, and processing of all adjustments and core credits Work with store management to ensure the successful accomplishment of budgeted service related quotas Ensure that all appropriate information for completed work is given to the counter personnel for inclusion in final invoicing Utilize the company outside purchase program to ensure maximum profitability Ensure the consistent execution of the vehicle inspection program Achieve established service, sales and productivity goals Assist management in the orientation and training of all new personnel Complete all required training in a timely manner Perform other job-related duties as assigned Job Requirements 18 years of age or older Valid driver's license Minimum of one year of experience as a lube/tire/service technician Availability to work holidays, weekends, and after regular business hours as needed Reliable transportation to work Ability to learn new concepts and use technical materials Ability to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery Capability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles Ability to exchange accurate information with customers Willingness to work with hazardous materials Ability to consistently work in outdoor weather conditions Willingness to comply with Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) regulations Vision, hearing, speech, and the ability to detect odors is essential Ability to remain in a stationary position (standing and/or driving) for up to nine hours per shift Ability to move and position self to move and retrieve product and supplies from shelves, under counters, or stacks of inventory weighing 75 pounds Ability to meet company requirements including successful pre-employment drug screening, Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), and criminal background check Legal authorization to work in the United States of America Preferred Skills High school diploma or GED equivalent Two years or more of experience in an automotive shop environment Appropriate ASE certifications Readiness to work both independently and in a team environment Capability to work at a fast pace Strong verbal communication skills Sales abilities Stamina Ability to prioritize and plan work activities using time efficiently Management of multiple tasks and projects Ability to perform detail work with accuracy
