The Critical Power Level 4 Technician is an expert in the critical power industry and has extensive experience with telecommunications, utility and/or UPS power systems. 10+ years of technician experience with DC Power and/or UPS equipment is required.

The Facilities Technician has knowledge of equipment, materials, methods, practices, and tools used in the painting trade and general facilities upkeep. The ability to properly apply and mix paint to match colors. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, drywall, lighting fixtures, and other generalized building maintenance. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to work independently.
The ideal Facilities Technician Candidate Has:
* Minimum two years' similar experience
* Detect needed repairs on buildings, grounds, and equipment by following established inspection procedures. Needed repairs to include basic plumbing and electrical work.
* Prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding and removing old paint.
* Fill nail holes, cracks and joints with putty, plaster, or repair full drywall sections to like new conditions
* Tape, float, and texture walls, ceiling and floors
* Select premixed paints or mix required portions of pigment, oil, and thinning and drying substances to prepare paint to match specified colors.
* Paint surfaces, using brushes, spray gun, or paint rollers; Stain, seal, and varnish wood surfaces.
* Safely replace lighting bulbs and ballasts
* Erect scaffolding or set up ladder to perform tasks above ground level.
* Maintain inventory of tools and assist with inventory control of materials and equipment.
* Inspect jobs upon completion and ensure areas are clean.
* Work with management and supervisors to complete projects.
* Operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures.
* Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment and ensure that equipment is in safe operating condition.
* Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting, climbing, etc.
* Store, handle and dispose of paint, stain, varnish, and other chemicals according to established procedures.
* Correct unsafe conditions in work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to supervisor immediately.

**Job Summary:**
The **Critical Power Level 4 Technician** is an expert in the critical power industry and has extensive experience with telecommunications, utility and/or UPS power systems. This is a leadership position that will supervise and train less experienced technicians. A level 4 technician should be able to design custom power solutions and provide turnkey installations. Due to the energized electrical equipment (hot) work requirement of this position, safety must be of the highest importance.
