Position Summary Facilities Technicians work both inside and outside to build, install, test, and repair telecommunication and broadband services for residential and commercial customers. What you'll need To be 18 years of age or older Authorization to work in the United States for this company Must be able to pass pre-employment background check, motor vehicle check, drug test, and DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card Previous construction experience, preferably in the telecommunications industry. A valid, unrestricted driver's license (Commercial driver's license preferred but not required) Knowledge of established aerial cable installation procedures and techniques Ability to climb telephone poles and work in a bucket truck and work aloft and climb poles up to 40 feet Able to perform all duties in telecommunications construction (such as; pole transfers, maintenance builds, new build, cable installation, over lash, and strand construction) Able to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs as needed with or without assistance Ability to set up & maintain safe work areas Ability to work in all weather conditions Additional qualifications (if applicable) Splicing of active & passive equipment would be a plus Class A CDL Physical abilities & exposures Routinely: work alone in remote locations and in confined spaces with arms above shoulder level, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse Salary Range $21 - $29/hour Why work with us Your career here is more than just a job - it's your pathway to opportunity.
