CobbFendley is seeking a ARAMIS Telecommunications Designer (Remote) for our Lubbock, TX office.

The successful candidates most important qualifications include:

Essential Functions:
Design placement of New cable Fiber and Copper. Design the relocation of cables, manholes, handholes, etc. Experience with the AT&T Aramis system preferred. Experience in AT&T OPTI system is a plus. Experience in BST CAD system is a plus. Perform site visits, fielding, and assist with permitting as needed. Meetings with Clients and in agencies i.e. City, State, County, Department of Transportation. Work in a safe and efficient manner at all times. Perform independent research and adapt changing priorities. Work in a collaborative team environment and deliver accurate work product that is error free. Adhere to CobbFendley’s safety standards to uphold a safe and efficient environment. Maintain a professional attitude and fulfill responsibilities with integrity.


Physical Requirements:
Sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time.
Mobility within the office including movement between floors and workstations.
Repeated motions (e.g., typing, reaching, bending, lifting, and carrying).
Communication with other employees and clients.

Environmental Factors:
Most work is performed in a professional office environment. Some trips to client offices and job sites for observations will be required.
Job site observations factors could include: walking and climbing on uneven surfaces, exposure to outdoor environments and extreme weather (heat and freezing temperatures), noise exposure, driving for extended periods of time, exposure to allergens (e.g., pollen, dust, cedar, sumac, poison ivy), exposure to construction and traffic work zones, possible hand and power tool use, and extended periods of Personal Protective Equipment use.
Extended use of electronic devices (e.g., computers, printers, copiers, scanners, plotters, and telephones).
Use of cutting tools and equipment (e.g., plotting equipment, rotary paper cutter).

Expected hours of work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

As a Telecom Designer at Jacobs, you'll assist in the design of Telecommunications, Audio-Visual, and Security systems. As well as help your team in coordination and review of the drawings with Team Lead and Engineers.
We'll ask you to:
•Display proficiency in 3D modeling using Revit, with specific experience in telecom systems. Create families and fully utilize the live functions available in the platform to maintain intelligent designs.
•Plan and design backbone distribution, cable pathways, and telecom space drawings and schematics for commercial and industrial buildings.
•Develop installation details and room layouts
•Produce installation specifications with engineering review and approval
•Design Voice system infrastructure to support VoIP, POTS, PBX/PABX systems
•Design Networking system infrastructure (including knowledge of basic data network topologies, user connectivity and maintenance requirements)
•Develop structured cabling solutions for Voice and Data infrastructure systems (OM3/4 & OS2 Fiber and Category 6/6A copper)
•Assist in the design of Communications room MPOE, MDF, IDF and Server Rooms including cabinet arrangement and rack population.
•Audio Visual (conference rooms, public spaces, display systems) design
•Intercom, Paging and Public Address (including Emergency PA and Mass Notification) design
•Design knowledge of ESS systems; access control, CCTV
•Power supply/distribution systems including PDU and UPS
•Able to develop splicing, backbone and cable schedules
•Ability to adapt and apply company engineering design and BIM & CAD drafting standards and industry best practices

•2+ years' experience with Revit content/family creation and modifications
•Prior experience with BIM processes and parametric design software Autodesk
•Proficiency setting up views, view templates, sheets, and schedules in Revit for construction documents.
•Proficiency printing full sets of construction documents and performing PDF quality control reviews in Bluebeam.
•Proficiency with design coordinating with other disciplines parametric and geometric content in 3D.

Ideally, You'll Also Have:
•Autodesk Revit Certified Professional

kW Mission Critical Engineering, a WSP USA company, is currently initiating a search for a **Telecommunications Designer** for our kW offices which includes the following: **Tempe, AZ - Milwaukee, WI - Atlanta, GA- Troy, NY**

As a Telecom Designer with us, you will design Outside Plant Pathways and other building systems including MMR/IDF layouts, Cable Tray layouts, Wireless Access Point layouts, and structured Cabling infrastructur layout to support the Controls Network. The ideal candidate has familiarity with Building Information Modeling using Revit, has strong communication skills, and an interest in liaising with internal and external design, client and construction team members.

**Your Impact**

+ Work independently to perform a variety of BIM / CAD design assignments supporting multiple engineering disciplines.

+ Produce accurate 2D drawings, 3D BIM Models using Revit or equivalent BIM program

+ Design of low voltage systems for buildings including telecommunications systems, audio visual, security, and electrical/mechanical control integrations

+ Meet required schedules while producing quality work

+ Perform Quality Assurance/Quality Control of design packages

+ Perform design tasks for site and building technologies including telecommunications systems, audio visual, security, and control integrations

+ Independently support the team during design and construction stages of projects research & recommend fundamental components identified in designs

+ Develop equipment, conveyance and device layouts, floor plan, and riser diagrams

+ Prepare cable schedules and specifications

+ Perform construction administrations tasks

+ Survey and evaluate existing conditions

+ Work within multi-discipline project teams to develop drawing and specification documents for issuance to architects, contractors and building owners

+ Collaborate and coordinate with internal project discipline team members

+ Demonstrate significant understanding of the range of services provided by the kW MCE engineering teams & related practices

+ Implement best practice procedures

+ Integrate project requirements into mission critical facility designs

+ Attend and represent the Telecom discipline in internal and external meetings

+ Lead Telecom projects

**Who You Are**

**Required Qualifications**

+ High School Diploma.

+ Minimum of 3 year of relevant post education experience in discipline with prior drafting and design support experience.

+ Familiar with drafting and design support principles, practices, process, methods and techniques.

+ 3+ years of experience in designing low voltage systems for the high performing, commercial, industrial or mission critical/data center buildings

+ Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

+ Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.

+ Experience with applicable software packages including AutoCAD, Revit

+ Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Experience with international projects

+ RCDD and/or DCDC certifications
