Job Description
We are presently seeking an Assembler that will perform any combination of the following tasks to assemble electronic components, subassemblies, products or systems.
Schedule: 4/10 Mon-Thurs
Location: Miamisburg, OH
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Receives detailed instructions on all work, under close supervision.
* Positions, aligns parts in specified relationship to each other in fixture or other holding device.
* Performs intermediate assembly tasks, such as soldering, potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy, bonding, curing, laser welding, operation of pneumatic machinery, pneumatic presses, etc.
* Installs finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases or other packing material.
* May perform assembly operations under microscope or other magnifying device.
* Mounts assembled components such as resistors, capacitors and integrated circuits.
* Connects components, wires to printed circuit or route via soldering.
* Adjusts, trims materials from components to achieve specified electrical or dimensional characteristics.
* Performs inline testing, inspection using measuring instruments and electrical test equipment to ensure parts and assemblies meet production standards.
* Ability to cross train on other programs in the facility.
* Perform various repair/rework operations using approved written procedures.
* Utilizes schematics and blueprint drawings to complete work.
* Intermittent OVERTIME, typically completed on Fridays.
* Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
* Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
* Six to twenty-four (6-24) months of industrial experience or similar training is preferred.
* Ability to read schematics and assembly prints, as well as being thoroughly familiar with such assembly operations as wiring, welding, bonding and soldering is preferred.
* Certain job assignments require the ability to obtain and maintain an IPC/J-STD Certification within 90 days of employment and throughout your tenure.
* Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 is a plus.
* Ability to obtain an ATF Possessor Permit.
* Must be able to effectively communicate and engage with all levels of the organization verbally and in writing.
* Possesses intermediate computer skills including MS Office, Excel and Outlook.
* Please note that due to the requirements from the Department of Energy, U.S. CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED.
Physical Requirements:
* Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
* Some bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, mild lifting of 10 pounds or less.

Basic Qualifications for Electronic Hardware Design Engineer:
Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 2 years of experience, a Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 0 years of experience or a PhD in a STEM discipline with 0 years of experience.
Full custom circuit card design cycle (concept through production) experience involving FPGAs, DDR memory, high speed serdes, and microprocessors
Experience defining interfaces with software teams for microprocessors/microcontrollers
Hands on use of laboratory test equipment such as: oscilloscopes, function generators, DMM, BERT scopes, network analyzers and signal analyzers
Ability to solder and modify prototypes to prove a working design
Ability to create test plans and assembly instructions
Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

**Essential Duties / Responsibilities:**
+ Able to set up and operate a variety of machine tools including but not limited to milling machines, lathes, and able to align and fasten work using tooling fixtures.
+ Able to use & understand tool sharpeners, tool tolerances, dimensions, calibrated measurements, setup sheets, callouts, probes, feeds & speeds, and standard specs.
+ Able to use a variety of machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments to make standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work.
+ Plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
+ Perform computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds.
+ Program and edit G-Code and conversational.
+ Implement lean initiatives by identifying and providing suggestions on areas for improvement.
+ Performs all manufacturing operations safely, with quality in mind, and with customer delivery expectations met.
+ Able to learn and perform other job functions with OJT when required. This would include but is not limited to performing program verifications, recipe verifications, rework, data collection & recording, and part processing & handling work among other duties.

The Electrical Engineering Intern will be responsible for assisting others in the conceptual and detail design of Electronic Safe and Arm Devices (ESADs) and Ignition Safety Devices (ISDs) for missile programs.
Responsibilities:
* Assisting members of the technical staff to generate designs and support development activities for Electronic Safe and Arm Devices (ESADs or ESAFs) and Ignition Safety Devices (ISDs) for weapon systems.
* Participates in performance testing and manufacturability assessment of products.
* Performs simulations of simple-to-complex electronic circuits
* May be asked to perform detail design, tolerance studies, and selection of electronic components while taking shock, vibration, thermal stress considerations into account.
* Prepares engineering specs, and parts lists.
* Writes engineering reports and assists in the preparation of technical proposals.
* Participates in specification reviews, design reviews, pre-production builds, debug, and product testing.
* Plans and determines test procedures.
* Conducts laboratory experiments and investigations, as well as correlates and interprets observations and results.
Requirements:
* Working towards a degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline is required.
* Prefer experience in the design/development or other equivalent training in analog circuits with electronic components.
