What you'll do
* Assemble electronic and electro-mechanical components such as power supplies, modules, cable harnesses, and PC boards
* Solder and de-solder through-hole and surface mount components using soldering iron and hot air techniques
* Install and remove discrete components like resistors, capacitors, and transistors on printed circuit assemblies
* Follow production drawings, schematics, and work instructions to complete assemblies
* Use hand tools and small power tools for component placement and wiring
* Inspect parts and perform basic tests to ensure quality standards
* Rework and repair defective units as needed
* Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety procedures
What you need
* Manual dexterity and ability to work with small components (required)
* Basic soldering skills and willingness to learn advanced techniques (required)
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and instructions (required)
* High school diploma and vocational or technical training (required)

We are seeking a Software Engineering Manager 3 to join our Engineering Leadership Team in McClellan (Sacramento), CA. This Software Engineering Manager position is a dual-role management position. The first role is serving as the Engineering and Sciences Functional Manager overseeing the Software and Digital Technologies Engineering Department in McClellan. Direct reports will include Level 2 Software and Digital Technologies Engineering managers and senior engineers in technical leadership roles. The second role is performing high impact technical or leadership responsibilities on one of the core programs in our portfolio. Ensure strong Engineering technical execution and discipline synergy across our portfolio of programs, promoting adherence to our engineering processes, procedures, and best practices to ensure quality work products and reduce risk on the programs. Recruit new talent, to include entry-level through highly experienced positions, to meet staffing demand from across the portfolio. You will also work to rapidly redeploy talent to support other programs as programs end or to maximize impact and efficiency of your team.
Plan and manage the indirect budgets for your Engineering department.

Technician for satellite communications industry
Responsibilities include alignment, testing, troubleshooting and repair of high power solid state microwave amplifiers with a block upconverter and a digital control interface.
Requires ability to understand standard RF test measurements and a familiarity with RF test equipment, including but not limited to: Spectrum analyzers, Signal Generators, Network Analyzers, Power Meters, etc.
Job involves tuning high power RF amplifiers to meet customer specifications. Will be working on S-Band, C-Band, X-Band, and Ku-Band amplifiers. Knowledge of standard RF test parameters is important - gain, power, VSWR, intermodulation distortion, 1dB compression, harmonics, etc.

Primary Level Salary Range: $114,000.00 - $171,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a Consulting Signal Processing Engineer to join our NorCal team at Cyber & Information Solutions (C&IS) Business Unit.
The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility in McClellan, CA
In this position you will research, design, develop and verify signal collection systems, and define and develop processing and dissemination computer algorithms. You'll develop requirements analysis, system architecture, and integrate new signal processing technology systems. You'll design, develop and analyze systems for the extraction of information from signal sensors. Systems utilization includes detection and estimation theories, speech processing, and neural networks; electromagnetic and acoustic effects on signals, and/or implantation of signal processing with advanced computer architectures.
Specific responsibilities include:
Introducing and developing new algorithm components for the exploitation of signal data
Applying signal processing algorithms to large sets of structured and unstructured data to solve a broad range of problems that include applications in target detection and tracking, and false alarm mitigation
Interfacing with software engineers to ensure implemented algorithms are correct, robust, and maintainable
Creating presentation material to explain and document work, and presenting to internal and external stakeholders
Basic Qualifications for a Consulting Signal Processing Engineer:
16+ years of Engineering experience with a Bachelors in Science in a STEM discipline; 14+ years of Engineering experience with Masters; 12 Years with a PhD
Active DoD Top Secret clearance
Background in signal processing
Experience working in Matlab and/or Python
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
This position is contingent upon the successful transfer of an active DoD Top Secret Clearance and the ability to meet customer-specific security screening requirements within a timeframe set forth by management.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience designing signal processing algorithms for advance computer architectures
Familiarity with C / C++
Familiarity with current AI/ML techniques
Experience with performing technical planning, system integration, verification and validation.
Experience with functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and integration definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
