The Co-Manager manages the day-to-day operation of the store as a Manager On-Duty in conjunction with the management team members to maximize sales and customer service and oversees the execution of the Merchandising plan to maintain compliance and store standards. Roles and Responsibilities * Maximizes profits and customer service by leading assigned category team and operating the store in adherence to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines. * Operates the store as the Manager On Duty in conjunction with the management team. * Maintains the physical security of the store they are assigned, and in doing so is a key-holding member of management. * Ensures highest level of customer service and handles customer complaints to a satisfactory conclusion. * Maintains category merchandising and cleanliness and ensures operational efficiency. * Maintains used category cadencing and stock levels within the monthly budget. * Trains and develops Associates and Leads. * Facilitates effective communication to all store Associates through daily briefings and weekly and monthly meetings. * Audits buyback throughout the day to ensure all policies and procedures are being followed. * Drops off bank deposit and picks up change order as needed. * Consults with the General Manager on associate performance. * Performs other duties as assigned. Scheduling Requirements * All managers follow the 3 or 4 Manager Rotation schedule, depending on the number of managers in the store. * All managers must have open availability and be able to work opening shifts, closing shifts, or other shifts as needed, OR have availability approved by District Manager if open availability is not possible. * All managers are Full Time and may work up to 45 hours per week. BASIC FUNCTION: Under moderate supervision, welds metal parts together according to layouts, blueprints, or work orders using welding processes for given work areas. (May also lay out guidelines on metal parts and cut metal with cutting torch.) Adjusts automatic welder properly for material being welded. Lays out and sets up own work. Welds parts and subassemblies per blueprints. Produces quality weldments and/or welding assemblies in one or more areas. Performs other duties as assigned by leader or supervisor. QUALIFICATIONS: General knowledge of welding techniques, tools, equipment, and blueprint reading is preferred. Ability to read precision measuring tools is required. Skills may be gained through practical experience and/or on-the-job training. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Frequent climbing, bending, twisting and/or lifting approximately 55 pounds (and periodically heavier loads approximately 75 pounds) will be required. All welders must install 60 pounds spools of wire on own welding equipment, as necessary. Follows YMCA policies and procedures; responds to emergency situations. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Required certifications: CPR, First Aid, AED certification (obtained within 90 days of employment if not already certified), national certification (ACE, NETA, AFAA, NASM) in group fitness instruction or YMCA Foundations of Group Exercise certification. 2. Required certification in areas of expertise (yoga, Pilates, spinning/cycling, Zumba). 3. YMCA New Employee Orientation and Mandated Reporter Training within 30 days of hire. 5. Continuing educations/renewals of certifications kept up to date and submitted to the supervisor on or before certifications expire.
