Job Description
The Teller serves as the primary point of contact for customers and non-customers and provides outstanding customer service throughout the interaction. They perform a variety of customer transactions on a daily basis, provide information, resolve issues and look for opportunities to 1st strengthen the customer relationship through suggestion of other bank products and services.
NOTE: To obtain employee engagement and retention, within the Customer Service department, and continue to offer top level service while growing our branches, it is imperative that we have well trained employees at all levels. The 6 month position guideline is in place to ensure we are setting all our employees up for success. To apply for another position, employees will need to be in their current role/branch for at least 6 months. Further discussion with a Customer Service Officer can be made for potential exceptions.

Essential Functions:
Accept and accurately process all financial transactions.
Maintain responsibility for cash drawer and follow proper balancing procedures.
Work on assignments that are semi-routine in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required.
Provide excellent customer service by providing answers and assistance for customer questions, and concerns.
Cross sell other bank services and refer customers to other departments to help achieve goals set by management.
Learn and maintain knowledge of products, fees and policies, and stay current on offerings to make product suggestions.
Demonstrate compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job functions that apply to designated job responsibilities.
Understand and adhere to all bank policies, laws and regulations applicable to their role. Complete compliance training; follow internal processes and controls as required.
Report all compliance issues, violations of law or regulations in accordance with the steps defined in bank policies.
Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.

In this role you will:
Support customer engagement by processing teller transactions, sharing digital solutions, and making appropriate introductions to bankers
Complete operational activities while minimizing risks under established policies

Job Requirements
Some banking or teller experience preferred but not required.
High school degree plus some college preferred.
Must have professional, well-developed interpersonal skills necessary for servicing Credit Union members and projecting a positive attitude and image as a representative for the Credit Union.
Intermediate mathematical skill required (calculations and concepts involving decimals, percentages, fractions, etc.).
Good judgment is required in day-to-day situations and problems within established guidelines. Involves generally routine or standardized work but involves choice of action within limits defined by standard practice and instructions. Decisions are pre-defined based on guidelines or standards.
Physical requirements include: Generally considered sedentary work and may include standing for intermittent periods. Limited lifting and carrying up to 55 pounds when moving cash drawer or coin bags.
Work Hours
Part-time. 20-25 hours per week.
Shifts start as early as 7:45 am and end as late as 6:15 pm. You must be able to work at least 4 hours per shift.
Saturday morning rotation required, 8:45 am - 12:15 pm
Wage
$15.00+ per hour depending on experience.

Job Summary
American National Bank is looking for a new Teller to serve the needs of existing and prospective clients. We are seeking an individual who provides top customer service, possesses previous cash handling experience, and places a high level of importance on confidentiality.
Schedule: 20 hours per week, 12:00pm-4:00pm Monday through Thursday, 1:30pm-5:30pm Friday; rotating Saturdays 8:15am-12:15pm
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
* Consistently provides high quality client service while effectively processing transactions and supporting sales.
* Records all transactions, prepares daily settlements of teller cash, and proofs transactions according to branch procedures.
* Processes transactions for various bank products and services including the following: deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashier checks, money orders, and credit card cash advances.
* Performs clerical duties such as answering calls, processing incoming mail and deliveries, filing, and typing.
Experience and Education
* Four to six month's teller experience, or equivalent client service and/or cash handling experience.
* Previous sales experience, preferred.
* In pursuit of high school diploma or its equivalent is required.
