The
Teller, Taskforce
is a key customer service position, the “face” of UFB. Providing friendly and efficient services for many frontline bank functions: loan transactions, processing checking and savings accounts, money orders, cashing checks, managing teller drawers, ATM balancing, vaults, etc. You will also promote and educate customers on available products and services, answer incoming phone calls, and assist management as needed.
Essential Job Functions include, but are not limited to:
Comply with all policies, procedures, disclosure, regulations and consumer privacy requirements.
Answer customer questions and explain available services.
Process checking and savings deposits and/or withdraws.
Check cashing/Cashier checks/cash advances.
Cross-sell bank products and services.
Refer customers to the proper department for issues that cannot be resolved at the teller line.
Cash counting.
Processing loan payments.
Buy and sell currency from the vault as necessary.
Ensure teller station is properly supplied.
Balance drawer daily, including periodic batching of cashed checks.
Perform all duties in relation to the Bank Secrecy Act under the guidance of the BSA Officer.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Oversee balancing and replenishing of ATM function, and work with operations to establish the daily operational procedures and functions.
Develop the banking center's vault plan. Estimate cash needs for the banking center and sell or buy cash to or from the Courier Support Center.
Establish, promote and maintain good customer relations and ensure that tellers are courteous and efficient in transacting customer business, including the cross-selling of Bank's services when the opportunity is presented.

Will serve a vital role in helping the branch obtain goals, by coaching and developing new and veteran tellers by teaching new skills, expanding knowledge, and assisting the Branch Manager with bank expectations and standards.
Will have the ability to open deposit accounts, process teller transactions, sell bank products and services, assist customers with maintenance request, and resolve customer service issues in accordance with Bank policies. Will be responsible for uncovering additional customer needs and referring them to the appropriate business partner.
Job Duties:

Will be responsible for the management of the day-to-day operations of the branch teller line and the direction supervisor Universal Banker I roles. Duties include branch teller line scheduling to ensure proper coverage, meeting referral goals, and overseeing of operational standards.
Tasked to be the point person for audit preparation based on the Retail Standard Operating Procedures (RSOP). Responsible for ensuring team is not only following procedures but educated on any updated or changes in policy and procedures.
This position will work with the manager to ensure that the branch will successfully pass any and all audits.
Will be responsible for preparation and completion of quarterly and annual reviews of direct reports.
Will be responsible for coaching, developing and providing performance feedback which may include disciplinary action (when applicable).
Monitor performance and report to management.
Will assist Branch Manager with hiring of branch teller line staff.
Deliver superior customer service with a friendly demeanor, can-do attitude, and willingness to help at all times.
Maintain a position of trust and responsibility by keeping all customer business confidential.
Initiate conversations to uncover customer needs, referring customers to platform associates within the branch, and meeting established referral goals.
Maintain balancing and error record that is in line with policy and have the ability to find and correct outages and to enlist help as needed for errors that are more difficult.
Receives checks and cash for deposit to savings and checking accounts, verifies deposit amounts, and examines checks for endorsement and negotiability.
Will be responsible for processing complex multi-step teller transactions.
Must have the ability to define and offer solutions to resolve problems. Uses knowledge of the organization to identify helpful resources. Will provide follow up to customer, branch staff and/or internal partner on resolution of issue(s).
Follow operational standards regarding security, risk management, and compliance.
Consistently completes required training for all bank and branch policies and procedures.
Make sales calls via phone or zoom to clients and/or prospects on a weekly basis to meet calling goals of the branch while recording these activities in Salesforce.
Consistently meeting or exceed sales referral goals as set by management. Maintain a well develop working knowledge of the complete line of products and services offered.
Must be able to meet scheduled working hours as designated by manager to ensure effective functionality of the branch to meet client needs.
Responsible for meeting Retail Branch Standards which includes dress code.
Will perform special projects as assigned.
Education, Experience and Job Skills:
High School Diploma or GED;
1+ years related work experience in customer service.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of accuracy and close attention to detail.
Trustworthy and confidential behavior is essential in this role.
Proficient knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office software (Notes, Word, and Excel).
