Responsibilities: In this role, you will be working with a commercial company's security team to create and build new solutions to challenging problems. In performing this role, you will be required to: * Work with the customer to establish a mature Insider threat monitoring capability across multiple windows, Linux, and container environments. * This person will be leading the development of new alerting frameworks * Execute a dual mandate over a designated time period to: * Develop detection logic in the customer SIEM solution. * Architecting and deploying detections from the ground up * Support the migration of logic, queries, and visualizations into a new SIEM solution. * Work with the customer to improve incident response efficiencies. * Support the Tier 1 Security Operations Team with investigations and responses. * Improve the customer's ability for early detection and mitigation of risks Job Requirements Job Requirements Qualifications: * This position requires an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required * Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Assurance, or a related discipline and 10+ years of related experience. Additional experience may be substituted for a degree. * Must have experience and expertise with SIEM solutions such as Splunk, Kabana, etc. * Must have experience with log telemetry structure and log logic in Windows, Linux, and Containerized environments. * Experience with migrating schema mappings from one SIEM solution to another. * The ability to demonstrate query language proficiencies. * Must have experience with cloud service providers i.e., Google, AWS, Azure, etc. * Have experience with the deployment and configuration of data collections from various system components that include operating systems, networking devices, and containerization platforms. * Experience creating dashboards, analytics, and alerts within SIEM tools. * Experience working with monitoring systems supporting auditing, incident response, and system health. * Experience with the OSINT framework and related tools. Design, implement, and troubleshoot complex network architectures to meet organizational requirements. • Troubleshooting and Remediation: Proactively identify and troubleshoot issues within the Cisco networking infrastructure, ensuring rapid remediation. Collaborate with customers to troubleshoot outages and provide timely and effective solutions. • Wireless Networking Fundamentals: Demonstrate foundational knowledge of Aruba wireless deployments, including Remote Access Points (RAP) and wireless controller-based architectures, to support secure and reliable wireless connectivity. • PKI & Certificate Management: Possess fundamental understanding of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and certificate lifecycle management processes, including certificate issuance, renewal, and integration with network and security services. Requirements Qualifications: • Bachelor's (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with 8+ years of experience and or a Master's with 6 - 8 years of experience. At least 2 years in a supervisory capacity • Preferred 4+ years of networking experience • DoD 8570.01-M Baseline Certifications for IAT Level III (CISSP, CASP+) • Relevant OEM certification such as: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent • Proven experience in the administration of Cisco networking devices in a DoD environment, including Cisco security appliances such as ASA and Firepower. • In-depth knowledge of Cisco IOS, routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, EIGRP, BGP), and switching technologies. • Experience with network topologies, including LAN, WAN, and VPN configurations. • Strong understanding of patch management processes and vulnerability remediation in accordance with DoD guidelines. • Familiarity with security tools such as HBSS, ACAS, and eMASS. • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve network-related issues efficiently. • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for customer interaction and team collaboration. • An active DoD Secret Clearance is required or the ability to obtain one. • The successful candidate must meet eligibility requirements to access sensitive information, which requires US citizenship.
