The Senior Technical Support Analyst reports to a Senior Manager of Technical Product Support. This is a customer-facing role responsible for driving customer satisfaction with our products and services. The position requires someone to demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, technical ability, a service mentality, and ability to troubleshoot.
The Support Services team is a dynamic customer- facing organization staffed predominately with individuals with desire to learn and possess strong software technical skills in property tax or other types of software. This role provides our customers with a unique experience that leans more toward a direct customer relationship role than a typical support center.
Our primary location for Customer Operations is in San Diego, CA with roughly 70% of our current staff distributed across the United States. The Technical Support Analyst role is a fully remote role.

Summary
The IT Service Desk Tech II is part of the IT Operations team that provides support for Sorenson production systems for the entire company. The IT Service Desk Tech II is primarily responsible for supporting our End User computing environments in our US, International, and work from home locations. Work with the Enterprise Application and Development teams regarding the use of endpoint management tools to support Windows desktops, SIP video and audio endpoints, VPN connectivity, and network connectivity. Support the Security and Engineering teams with software deployments, patching, and compliance. Help company employees and contractors with technical issues related to client systems. Document knowledge for use by other IT staff members. Assist and train IT Service Desk Tech I staff as required.
Pay Range: The estimated salary range for this position is $24.48 to $35.48 hourly. Actual pay may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Complete all assigned tasks with some supervision.
Manage the Service Desk ticket support queue.
Resolve tickets within defined service levels.
Communicate with end users related to status changes of their tickets.
Take responsibility for project-based IT tasks at the Salt Lake site and remote Interpreting Centers.
Maintain, configure, and support Interpreting Center workstations.
Support server applications.
Provide technical assistance to all users in all departments.
Escalate problems to appropriate department for problem determination and resolution.
Answer incoming tech support calls, emails, and IM's from customers.
Ship replacement equipment to sites as needed to maintain equipment functionality.
Schedule appointments with customers and field personnel to install, replace, remove or upgrade VRI equipment in customer environments.
Support Sorenson staff and field personnel while on site with customers.
Maintain database with equipment status, asset tags, location information and other inventory data as required.
Monitor reports that provide information on the “health” of VRI equipment and proactively reach out to sites for support in preparation for upcoming meetings.
Maintain necessary warehouse inventory and warehouse organization.
Participate in an on-call rotation outside of normal business hours.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required
Ability to install, configure and troubleshoot network devices.
Ability to install, configure and troubleshoot operating systems and common business applications.
Demonstrated understanding of desktop/server hardware and operating systems (Windows & Mac).
Good understanding of TCP/IP based network configuration, VoIP, Active Directory and custom applications.

Position Overview

**About the Role:**
As a Kinetic Buried Drop Technician working on the buried drop team, you will perform the physical installation of buried copper, fiber, and coaxial cable from the network hub to the customers' residence. Our team of Buried Drop Technicians care about technology and connecting customers to products they value. This is a safety sensitive position.
**What You'll Do:**
+ Perform the physical installation of buried copper, fiber & coaxial drop cable to connect Uniti's network to the customers' residence.
+ Use your technical expertise and customer focus to create meaningful connections with customers.
+ Interpret work drawings and instructions and complete necessary paperwork.
+ Sell and promote Uniti products and services.
+ Train new employees on daily job functions.
+ Operate a hand-held computer for retrieving and clearing job tasks.
+ Operate machinery including trenching and boring equipment for burying cables.
**Do You Have:**
+ The ability to walk ½ mile + while operating following a drop plow that places service cable.
+ Ability to work the schedule including overtime, callouts, and standby as needed.
+ Basic technology and math skills.
+ Ability to distinguish colors present in color-coded cable.
+ Ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds.
+ Ability to successfully complete the required training, including overnight travel out-of-state.
+ Ability to travel overnight, including out of state based on business needs.
+ A valid driver's license and safe driving record.
+ Ability to pass pre-employment DOT physical.
+ Obtain DOT certification and remain DOT certified.
