Companies with great ideas want to get those ideas out on the market as fast as possible these days. Tempo's hardworking team and unbroken thread from design to delivery offer their clients the opportunity to beat out the competition.
What Human Progress Looks Like
Your Opinion Counts
Tempo is made up of a management team that isn't happy with just creating a system and then stopping. They believe in growth. They want growth for their company and their employees. That is why management always appreciates feedback and ideas. They want their employees to collaborate on projects, so it isn't uncommon to see one employee wearing many different hats on any given day. Criss-cross training is encouraged and possible through employee exchange programs. So if there is another part of the process you are interested in learning about, that is possible and even recommended. Because of this, employees have been known to swap departments. Not because anything was wrong with their previous department, but instead because they found something new that they liked.
While there is always much to be done, management provides awesome support to their employees. Not only is management serious about taking employee feedback, but they are also serious about implementing it. All management is approachable and willing to help, hands-on, with any problem.
They think that the factory shouldn't be the stuffy old work environment that we think of when we hear the word factory. They think it should be innovative, engaging and fun. They say that they have cultivated such an awesome atmosphere, and that is why their factory is open for tours, so you can go see what all the fuss is about.
The project that Tempo has undertaken is not an easy one. They are rethinking an entire industry and doing things their way. To do that, they need innovative problem solvers. They are comprised of people who look at re-figuring a market as just a fulfilling challenge. These are some of the most talented and motivated people in the business. Because the people that Tempo serves are always trying to get one step ahead, Tempo needs people who are like that themselves.
Being a Part of Something Cool
Diverse, Efficient, Fun
Employees get to see the results of their work first-hand. Because Tempo is a low-volume manufacturer, they form personal relations with their clients. The clients are people working on the cutting edge, just like Tempo. So Tempo employees get to see their work used on some really cool products, such as self-driving cars or the latest medical technologies. Because of this, there tends to be a deep sense of purpose in the work that Tempo employees do.
The work environment has been described as amazing and is diverse, innovative and open. Management loves getting ideas pitched to them, along with feedback on the way that they are operating. That level of transparency leads to a group of employees that are empowered to take their work into their own hands.
Samantha Oxborough, who was a Customer Success Analyst and Program Manager with Tempo, said, "Tempo is by far the most diverse place I have ever worked. It produces creative results to impossible problems and everyone has a different perspective to offer on how to serve our industry best."
On top of all that, Tempo employees enjoy a work environment where they are trusted. This leads to a relaxed and friendly environment where unrealistic expectations aren't found.
