Performs the operation of Premium threading on pipes in a safe and efficient manner according to applicable procedures, complying with defined quality standards.
Main Responsibilities
- Executes change over and set up of the machine.
- Performs lathe operation.
- Performs Premium threads on pipes or couplings.
- Carries out end deburring.
- Performs chips cleaning.
- Changes machine tools.
- Assists machine lock outs and tag outs and does operative maintenance (cooling fluid, machine adjustments, etc.).
- Updates information in the tracking systems.

What is the Operations Development Program?
The Operations Development Program (ODP) is a two-year program designed to provide thorough exposure to The Timken Company's manufacturing and manufacturing support functions to develop future leaders within the company. The program includes various professional development experiences and on-the-job training during each assignment.
ODP participants are a part of a cohort that advance through the program to attend trainings, network, and collaborate with leadership throughout the year. Participants will be mentored, and have significant interaction with senior operations leaders throughout the company.
The program consists of four assignments each six months in duration. The first two assignments will be in one plant location. Program participants will then relocate to a second plant location for their third and fourth assignments. After completion of the program, permanent assignments will be in one of our U.S. manufacturing facilities.

Education Requirements/Qualifications:
* College graduate (December 2025 - May 2026 preferred).

* Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above.

Purpose of Position
This role is responsible for the accuracy and integrity of all financial information for global operation activities. Document all inspection data
Monitor coil for shape, finish, gauge (using AGC) running at maximum line speed to assure with order compliance
Check gauge and surface when coil is finished
Band/secure coil and identify coil in compliance with production
Attach histogram to production as required from AGC
Remove finished coil from recoiler
Organize complete production documentation at order end and record production information, ensure accuracy
Remove scrap from machine

This position is full-time and works approximately 40 hours per week, with occasional overtime on weekdays and/or weekends. Expectations
Candidates will be required to complete 4,000 hours of on-the-job training and take additional hours of related instruction via a specified online CNC Machining platform. Successful candidates must have the willingness and ability to learn, read, follow, and interpret drawings, processes and procedures. * Keeps workplace clean and organized.
* Safely operate various types of machinery used in the trade.
* Ability to maintain a high level of attention to accuracy and details with the ability to use discretion and good judgment.
* Documentation: Completion of work orders; identify time spent on project. Performs occasional tasks outside of job description in support of the company's mission.
* A candidate needs to possess openness to learning new skills and collaborating with other team members to create solutions.
Requirements
* Be at least 18 years of age; or at least 17 year of age and is currently attending or graduated from a vocational Machinist Program
* Have a high school diploma, or equivalent GED
* Must have 2-years or less of machining experience OR have completed a machining trade school program
* Proficient verbal and written communication skills
* Work experience with shop math proficiency and strong mechanical aptitude is appreciated; basic math skills required (classes can be recommended as needed).
* Blueprint reading
* Ability to read basic gauging
* Strong understanding of safety
* Must be able to lift and carry tools and material weighing up to 25 pounds.
* Minimum exposure to CNC machining
* Flexibility to work A or B shifts as required
