2001

2001 In March 2001, Downer merged with Evans Deakin Industries to become Downer EDI. Evans Deakin Industries formed Downer’s Rail business.

Enetech was renamed Tenix Alliance in July 2001.

2002

In 2002, Tenix bought out its partner’s, Lockheed Martin’s, share in its LMT joint venture to form Tenix Solutions, its traffic and parking compliance business.

2003

2003 In July 2003, Downer acquired Stork Electrical Pty Ltd at just under $15 million.

2004

From late 2004 Tenix pursued an acquisition strategy to extend the capabilities and geographic reach of its Tenix Alliance business.

2007

In August 2007, Tenix Solutions lost the A$150 million contract to operate Victoria's mobile speed cameras, but retained the contract for processing and managing the enforcement process.

In October 2007 it extended into mechanical engineering services with the acquisition of Robt Stone in New Zealand.

2008

In September 2008 Tenix acquired a majority interest in Duncan Solutions, a parking compliance company with operations in the USA and Australia.

2010

2014

2014 Downer bought Tenix Holdings Australia in 2014 for $300 million.

2017

2017 Hawkins is one of New Zealand’s largest construction firms.

2017 Downer has a controlling interest of 87.8% in Spotless.

2020

Snowden formed a part of Downer’s mining business which – at that time – was named Roche Mining. It was later sold in 2020.
