Tenneco’s management doesn’t care about employees. The company’s slogans are “get stuff done”, “game on” and “no excuses”. You’ll never hear people is their asset or that they care employees are working long hours per day and week. Management sending emails, texts and calling out of office hours and weekends because upper management urges some answer about some dumb thing they could’ve ask during the day. Worst company ever! I’m taking about past and new management! To be honest you can’t decide which one is worst.
There are not perks of benefits of working here
There is nothing to like. The slogans and the culture are never about the people. The CEO and management team are so focus in results and spending money in “leadership meetings” in Miami instead of how the people is treated because of their way of work.
By focusing on people and clear timing for information needed. Results and getting stuff done are important but at what cost, employees are working so many hours because there are bad work calendars and information is always urgent because management is so bad organized that they don’t know what they want. Always asking for the same information from different departments just in different formats.
Don’t prepare at all, is better if you find another place to work. Don’t work for this company is the worst, don’t work for any business unit at all.
The compensation is good because they don’t find people to work with them. That claim to want the best but the reality is they need to pay more than the average industry because is a really bad company.
They moved a lot of production out of the U.S. so maybe if you live in another country is good.
There is no joy, just stress and problems every day because of the lack of planning from management. Need to work every day from 6am to 11pm and answer the phone whenever they call even during the weekends and yes, Saturdays and Sundays to get “stuff done” because if you don’t you are giving “excuses” and that not the “Tenneco way”.
great place to work.

the pay and the people that work thier
Decent pay
Underqualified Management.
None. The cost has went up 185%
There is not enough positives worth mentioning. I am positive that tenneco is the worst place I have ever worked. Tennecco is the least professional and most ill lead company there is.
The lack of care for employees and disrespect from upper management is the main problem at tenneco. Under staffed due to mistreating and poor leadership. You would be lucky to see 24 hours a week. You are not given any notice of schedule changes, cut hours or shut downs. The higher ups use the employees as escape goats and actively look for reasons to fire people they don't like. There is no accountability at tenneco. You will be demanded to do Un lawful and unsafe tasks because meeting quota is all that matters. In the last year, only a couple hired have remained out of the hundreds. Tenneco is a revolving door.
The lack of super vision. 1 supervisor for multiple departments, only working on 1 shift. No hr on 2nd or 3rd shift, so if you have a problem, good luck because no one will be there to help you. There were 3 physical assaults by one employee last year. He still has a job because people gave up trying to get help.
