    Primary Purpose Apply appropriate welding processes to meet specifications. Inspect and repair welds to support the production and assembly of exhaust pipe components. Perform as an active team member in performing other tasks within the cell. Tends to one or more machine tools, special purpose machines, industrial robots, or hand welder to machine metal work pieces to specifications. Meets and exceeds production rate. Duties * Lifts work piece manually or using hoist and secures work piece in fixture or loads automatic feeding device. * Starts machine, engages feed, and observes operation. * Mig welds product parts to specification either by machine or manually. * Inspects and measures machined work pieces to verify conformance to specifications. * Moves machine controls and guides to adjust machine. * Replaces worn machine accessories such as cutting tools or brushes. * Adds coolant to machine reservoir and turns valve to start flow of coolant. * Files, sands, or shapes machined parts. * Cleans machined parts. * Tends machines and equipment other than machine tools. * Records part flow. * Other duties may be assigned. Qualifications * High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred. * Successfully pass MIG welding test. * Effective communication skills required, both verbal and written. Emerson is looking to add a **Senior Process Automation System Engineer** to one of our following locations, **Durham, NC,** **Blue Bell, PA, Houston, TX, Round Rock, TX, St. Louis, MO, or Kansas City, KS** . You will perform/own the design, implementation, testing, and startup of Process Control Systems for our clients using DeltaV. You will work with customers, other engineers, and project managers at Emerson. **In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:** + Lead or Work on a project team responsible for the design, configuration, and testing of continuous and batch control strategies. + Plan, coordinate and review the work of other project team members (or a subset of the team). + Work with customer's process engineers to develop functional requirements. + Lead and Participate in the start-up of complex systems at the client facility. + Understand the project scope and financials; identify change orders and justify changes to Project Management. + Proactively develop customer relationships; anticipate and provide solutions to customer needs giving high priority to customer satisfaction. + Act as a mentor for individuals within the engineering organization. **Who You Are:** You optimally communicate in various settings: one-on-one, small and large groups, or among diverse styles and position levels. You anticipate customer needs and provide services that are beyond their expectations. You follow through on your commitments gaining confidence of others in your abilities. You deal constructively with problems that do not have clear solutions or outcomes and lead a group of engineers. **For This Role You Will Need:** + Bachelor of Science in Engineering or associates degree/diploma in a technical discipline + Minimum 7 years of experience with bachelor's degree or 8 years of experience with 2-year degree + At least 5 years' experience in Process Control Automation design, configuration, testing and startup using DeltaV + Must convey a professional image with and build relationships with customers + Must be comfortable in plant sites, and possess the ability to navigate staircases, ladders, scaffolding, and catwalks + Up to 50% travel - consisting of short term and long term assignments + Must have legal authorization to work in the United States. **Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:** + Bachelor of Science in Chemical/Electrical Engineering preferred + Experience leading small to medium sized project teams + Design and implementation experience using the DeltaV process control system on Life Sciences projects + Experience leading/working on complex batch process control projects in the Life Sciences Industry using DeltaV; designing, implementing and testing control strategies and providing startup support at site. **Our Culture & Commitment to You** At Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
