    General Description: Perform preventative and predictive maintenance procedures on all tooling. Design, maintain or repair various fixtures and jigs as job requires. Perform welding and fabrication work as necessary. Enter remote work order request into the system when necessary. Shift Log Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Read mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics Plan and follow thru all Mold Repairs. Maintain mold, secondary equipment, and preventative maintenance schedules. Become familiar with ISO 14001 and TS16949 Knowledge of costing, controlling assets and maintain within budget restraints. Special projects as deem necessary. Assist Tooling Supervisor and Tooling Manger as necessary Each employee is responsible for the quality of his/her personal performance and how said performance impacts the environment, safety, and data security. This is applicable to the departments of development, production, management, logistics, and after market services, as well as to contact with customers and suppliers. Managers and supervisors are also responsible for the quality of his/her team's performance and how said performance impacts the environment, safety, and data security. This principle of comprehensive quality management is developed and furthered through training (on the job), continuing/ extended education, as well as continued supply of information and updates, and should be exemplified by supervisors on every level. Knowledge of customer specific requirements (CSR) necessary through advanced training, or work experience or a combination of the two. Requirements: Able to perform in production environment, learn to operate heavy equipment, operate forklift, work around and operate cranes. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools. Operate mill, lathe, drill press and other machine shop tools to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, or tools. Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions. Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and facilities. Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, following checklists. PLC troubleshooting experience. Hydraulics and pneumatics troubleshooting and repair. Troubleshoot, repair and perform preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment and machinery using standard and specialized hand/power tools and diagnostic equipment. Install conduit and related hardware to power equipment, repair motor control systems and electrical equipment and replace light fixtures.     Duties and Responsibilities * To troubleshoot machine malfunctions to include electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. This would include the correct bending of hard conduit and pulling of wire through the conduit. * Ability to remove, repair and install pneumatic and hydraulic components to include valves, cylinders, pumps, hoists and motors. Qualifications * Minimum of a 2 year degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Engineering Technology PLUS 2 years of verifiable work. * In lieu of formal education- a minimum of 5 years of verifiable work plus training in the above defined categories will be considered * Knowledge and experience in the use of wire and stick welders and cutting torches. * Must have good communication skills and the ability to be a good leader. These include, but are not limited to; PM work orders, utilizes eMaint CMMS system, continuous improvement tasks, new machine installation set-ups and changeovers, and repair/refurbish assignments. * Update drawings/prints, order and maintain spare parts and suitable replacements, and perform various forms of machine repair/rebuild in a professional manner per line-up and schematics. * Maintaining and repairing the building and assets both inside and outside the property. * Electrical experience and knowledge in 480V 3-phase, 120V, DC voltage, high AMP loads and Delta and Y systems. * Willing to attend training courses either on or off site. * Follow standard practices and all governmental regulations and laws relating to powered equipment. * Must be able to work independently, follow through and complete tasks, and handle a multitask workload. * Perform other related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and management. Requirements: * High school diploma or general education degree (GED) * Technical degree or Journeyman Card (Preferred) * Good electrical and mechanical skills, as demonstrated through an aptitude test. * 3+ years of industrial manufacturing maintenance experience preferred, preferably in the automotive industry. * Must have strong background in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, robotic arms, welding, basic fabrication, and overall machine troubleshooting skills. * Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits and systems up to 110 volts. * Familiarity with complex machinery, electrical circuits, and plant operating equipment. Should maintain a sense of urgency, self-motivation and overall good work ethic while performing tasks in a safe manner. * Knowledge of industrial, mechanical, electrical codes, techniques, and standards. Familiarity with government regulations for industry and safe work practices dealing with machine repair. * Skills in interpersonal relations both written and oral communications. Physical Demands: * A physically demanding position requiring lifting and carrying up to 60lbs. The ability to stand continuously is essential with occasional walking and sitting. The nature of this position will require employee to perform a wide range of physical activities ranging from pushing and pulling objects up to 30lbs, reaching, bending, and squatting. Performs self-directed reactive and planned maintenance which includes but is not limited to observing devices in operation to location root cause of problem; dismantling devices to gain access to and remove defective parts; examines parts to detect imperfections; adjustment of functional parts of devices and control instruments; repair and/or replacement of defective parts; testing of device to observe performance; tests for electrical and hydraulic circuitry and mechanical systems; orders supplies and repair items as necessary. Acts as a proactive project manager and works closely with the maintenance manager. Analyzes and recommends engineered solutions to failures. Lays out, wire, builds, and troubleshoots electrical panels and/or other machinery to NFPA/NEC standards. Provides leadership and assistance to lower level technicians.
