Job Purpose Description / Requirements: Material Handlers help ensure we safely and accurately transport materials and finished goods throughout the plant to our customers. * This is a second shift position, with varying 8-12 hour shifts based on customer demands. The shift start time is 3pm* Job Duties and Responsibilities Responsibilities: * Transport materials and inventory to assigned locations using various methods such as forklift, tugger, pallet jack, etc. * Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies * Collects and properly disposes of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping; maintains a safe and clean work environment. * Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory. * Confirms shipping details or special instructions; expedites shipments that affect the manufacturing process schedule. * Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product. * Prepares and maintains records of materials received and shipped including dates of transactions, locations, and other pertinent information. * Conduct cycle counts, which includes verifying accuracy of quantity of materials * Load finished goods for shipment to customers with industrial truck / material handling equipment * Other duties as assigned by management. The Lift Truck Operator is responsible for safely operating electric-powered forklifts or towmotors to move, stack, and transport materials, parts, and equipment throughout the warehouse, storage areas, and plant. This role supports production operations by ensuring materials are available where and when needed.
