Description of Job Duty:
The purpose of this position is to generate gifts to support Tennessee Tech athletic teams and the Athletic Department by developing and implementing a strategic annual giving solicitation plan and calendar.

A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint). The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in fundraising, higher education, or nonprofit work, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. An outgoing personality with the ability to engage alumni and donors of diverse backgrounds is essential, as is flexibility to attend athletic events and related activities as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in and knowledge of Tennessee Tech's athletic programs, along with experience using Raiser's Edge and a solid understanding of University Advancement policies and procedures. A minimum of two years' experience in annual giving is preferred, as well as prior experience as a student-athlete or within a collegiate athletic department.
Essential Functions:
Work with the Assistant Director of Annual Giving and the Executive Director of the Crawford Alumni Center (CAC) to plan, develop, implement, and grow an annual giving program for Tennessee Tech athletics.
Communicate the plan with the Athletics and the Advancement Division in a timely fashion.
Create and maintain an athletic annual giving schedule that includes direct mail, crowdfunding, online giving, philanthropic commerce, potential phone-a-thon campaigns, and other technologies.
Utilize annual giving tools (including direct mail, email, crowdfunding, and online giving) to inform, engage, and solicit current, lapsed, and prospective donors.
Monitor, report, and analyze outcomes. Analyze metrics of each annual giving appeal and initiative to determine how to increase giving.
Create retention and pipeline strategies for leadership annual giving and major giving.
Work with and cultivate relationships with coaches from each athletic team and the Director of Athletics to determine appropriate initiatives to meet fundraising goals.
Steward and develop relationships with donors who give to athletics initiatives.
Attend athletics games and events as needed.
Manage athletic giving societies including, but not limited to, annual fund and revenue sharing clubs.
Coordinate, prepare, and execute annual giving stewardship efforts.
Manage digital platforms for university-wide crowdfunding campaigns for athletics.
Create a marketing plan for digital and print appeals and initiatives including direct mail letters, emails, pamphlets, postcards, and webpages.
Work with Assistant Director to maintain an active level of written and digital correspondence with all donors.
Support CAC and University Advancement events and assist with other annual giving initiatives as needed, at the direction of the Assistant Director of Annual Giving and the Executive Director of the CAC.
Communicate and work with University Advancement and Athletic staff to prepare for upcoming annual giving initiatives.

The Commercialization Counselor (CC) serves as a key resource on campus to support and advance research commercialization activities. The purpose of the AIR program is to provide a creative, residential environment for emerging professional artists. Residence in Craft Center housing is a required condition of studio residencies (no pets allowed). A single occupancy bedroom with private bath and cooking, lounge facilities and common living spaces are shared with other residents. There are no completely private housing units available. Spouses, partners, and significant others are not allowed to live on campus; housing is offered only to resident artists. Individual, private studio space and 24-hour studio access are provided. Ability to sell work in the Craft Center Gallery, with a split in profit, during the duration of the residency.
Oversight of general maintenance, repair, cleanup and condition of studio. During workshop programs, the resident manages the studio, coordinates the facility needs of the instructors and participants with the Program Manager, assists with ordering tools and materials for the workshops, and provides technical assistance. Throughout workshop planning, consult with the Program Manager, studio faculty, Gallery Manager, and workshop instructors. Substitute teaching during faculty absence. Assists instructor, gives class demonstrations, participate in class discussions, and participate in mid-term and final group critiques in as requested by supervisor. Provide an example for students as an emerging professional artist by producing and exhibiting studio work of a high level of technical expertise and aesthetic merit. Participate in outreach and workshops as an instructor or assistant.

Essential Functions:
In exchange for housing and a private studio, the AIR will provide oversight of wood studio, lumber store, and use of equipment. Periodic inventory of lumber/sheetgoods and other studio supplies. During the academic year (August- May), the resident will work 15 hours per week on studio maintenance, instructional support, assisting students during class times and other studio tasks as needed. During the Craft Center's summer workshop season the resident manages the studio and ensures smooth operation. Summer hours are on a time bank system, as the need varies from studio to studio depending on the workshop schedule. Hours will not exceed 180 hours (15 hours per week/12 weeks). Specifics of managing the studio during workshops will be discussed with the artist in residence in advance, with both the supervising faculty member and the program manager. Residents will receive direction from the program manager regarding workshop support. During the workshops the resident may be able to take part in the workshop in their respective studio on a space available basis or pursue their own work while also being available for the visiting instructor.
Physical Demands:Must be in such physical condition to provide oversight of general maintenance, repair, cleanup and condition of studio.Work Hours:

Description of Job Duty:
The Associate Dean for Undergraduate Academic Affairs is a member of the college leadership team responsible for oversight of all undergraduate academic programs within the college. The position is also responsible for oversight of all inter-disciplinary and online programs in which the college is involved at the undergraduate level as well as recruitment and retention programs leveraging the Student Success Center.
The College of Engineering is undergoing a substantial transformation in growing programs (Nuclear, Industrial, Aerospace, etc.), enrollments (18% over 5 years to a total of 3239 students), and research dollars (2.75x over 5 years to $11.8M in FY '24, averaging nearly $40M/year the past four years). The college recently (2024) opened a 7th building, the Ashraf Islam Engineering Building and is in the process of building the Advanced Construction and Manufacturing Engineering Building. These designs are focused on engineering on display, growing enrollment, and a cross-disciplinary collaboration and education.

Minimum Qualifications:
Earned doctorate from an accredited institution in an engineering, engineering technology, or computer science discipline. Ability to obtain the rank of tenured Associate Professor or above in one of the academic departments in the COE. Ten years of faculty experience, at least three in a leadership role. Experience with curriculum and teaching. Leadership experience and skills. Creative problem solving. Demonstrated experience obtaining and utilizing in-depth knowledge of curriculum and academic rules, regulations and processes. Demonstrated ability and interest in supporting the breadth of all students and their needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with the disciplines represented in the COE. Commitment to undergraduate student success, community engagement, and to fostering a collaborative culture. Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities, establish priorities, and lead innovative strategic efforts critical to the success of College's academic programs. Experience with student advising.
Essential Functions:
Be a leader in providing a vision and establishing mechanisms for execution of plans concerning academic affairs. This includes review and improvement of ongoing academic programs; leading and supporting the initiation of new academic programs; exploration, adoption and implementation of digital tools/software to enhance efficiencies and the quality of undergraduate programs; and developing programs to ensure student success in and outside of the classroom and as graduated professionals. Provide oversight for all undergraduate academic programs within the College of Engineering as well as interdisciplinary, 2+2 (and other transfer programs), and online undergraduate programs in which the College is involved, and support and supervise all accreditation and other assessment of these programs. Play a leadership role in developing programs in partnership with other Colleges in TNTech, with industry, and with other domestic and international academic institutions. Lead the College of Engineering's academic programs including retention and graduation; assessment, accreditation and program review; enrollment management; undergraduate curriculum; and academic student affairs. Oversee the academic integrity initiatives of the college and represent the college in academic integrity, grade appeal, and readmission reviews. Lead the faculty development efforts as it relates to pedagogy and academic affairs. Supervise the CoE Recruiter, Director of Student Success, and Director of Academic Advising towards increasing recruitment, student retention, instilling a sense of belonging towards enabling student success. Lead the summer and outreach activities in coordination with the College of Engineering Recruiter. Represent the COE in various University Committees. Review department websites and publications to ensure that they are in full compliance with university policies and regulations and compliant as set forth by the accreditation agencies.
