Summary of Responsibility:
The HR Specialist supports the Human Resources department by efficiently managing a variety of administrative and operational tasks. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth execution of HR processes, maintaining employee records, and fostering positive employee relations. The HR Specialist will handle sensitive information with confidentiality and assist in implementing HR initiatives across recruitment, benefits, compliance, and employee engagement.
Essential Duties:
Coordinate the end-to-end recruitment process, from sourcing and screening candidates to conducting initial interviews and connecting great candidates with the hiring team leads.
Own the new hire experience. You'll lead new hire orientations, ensure all paperwork is compliant, and make sure every new hire feels like they are a crucial part of Dominion from day one.
Support benefits coordination for all employees including assisting employees with benefits questions and concerns.
Maintain employee records, manage HRIS data entry, and support general office administrative tasks to keep the department running smoothly.
Bring creativity to identify gaps in our current workflows and implement solutions to fix them.
Support the biweekly payroll process to ensure accuracy; interface with employees and supervisors to ensure timely entries and approvals.
Remain up to date on HR compliance requirements, assisting HR leaders in ensuring that HR policies and procedures align with state and federal laws, as well as Dominion standards.
Assist in the administration of various other HR responsibilities including: leave administration, reporting needs, learning and development, invoicing, and general employee questions.

Education, Experience, Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred (or equivalent work experience).
3-5 years of previous experience in an administrative or HR support role, preferably within an HR department.
Strong understanding of HR processes and best practices.
Understanding of diverse sourcing strategies, including use of LinkedIn, Indeed, or similar platforms.
Intermediate to advanced level knowledge with MS Office Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel (including Excel functions), and Adobe Acrobat/Foxit.
Familiarity with HRIS and Applicant Tracking systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage confidential information discreetly.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Must ensure follow-up in communication and actions to maintain integrity of HR as a resource for employees.
Physical Demands/Working Conditions/Environment:
Normal office duties, filing and storage of records.
Occasionally required to climb, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Capable of pushing, pulling or lifting up to 25 lbs.
Capable of travel time for site visits and meetings as needed to build relationships with field team members (10% or less).
Must be legally able to operate a motor vehicle, possess valid driver's license and auto insurance, and meet company driving requirements.
Additional physical demands include: being outside/walking across property in various weather conditions, on feet for an extended period of time, walking up and down stairs, climbing ladder.

The role involves managing field teams for multimedia sampling, provide support for emergency responses, and preparing technical reports. The Project Manager will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful delivery of projects, maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Project Management
Lead and manage environmental science projects from inception to completion.
Develop project scopes, timelines, and budgets.
Serve as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring expectations and deliverables are clearly defined and met.
Monitor project progress and ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Environmental Compliance Monitoring
Oversee and provide assistance with site inspections to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
Manage multimedia sampling projects including preparation of sample analysis plans, collection of samples and analytical assessments.
Coordinate with clients to complete audits, inspections and site visits in both rural and industrial settings to evaluate environmental compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
Prepare compliance reports and documentation for submission to regulatory agencies.
Work closely with emergency response managers by responding, overseeing and coordinating emergency response activities.
Ensure all projects comply with regulations, such as NEPA, Clean Water Act, and Endangered Species Act.
Fieldwork & Data Collection
Coordinate and supervise field teams during environmental monitoring, sampling, and assessments.
Have the ability to manage projects on land or on the water, in adverse weather, rough terrain, and emergency conditions.
Ensure that all fieldwork follows company safety protocols and regulatory standards.
Team Leadership & Coordination
Lead a team of environmental scientists and technicians, providing mentorship and technical guidance.
Collaborate with other internal departments, such as engineering, restoration, and natural resources, to ensure seamless project integration.
Client & Stakeholder Communication
Maintain effective communication with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and findings to clients and government agencies.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in environmental science, Ecology, Environmental Engineering, or related field. An associate's degree with proven experience in environmental compliance will be entertained.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in environmental consulting or project management.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing field or project scope.
Familiarity with environmental remediation projects and techniques including soil classification.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
Previous experience in a consulting environment and proven experience in managing environmental projects
Knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations (NEPA, Clean Water Act, etc.).
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present technical information to clients and regulators.
Ability to lead field teams and manage multidisciplinary projects ensuring inspections are conducted efficiently and within deadlines.
Excellent organizational skills with a focus on timely report submission and corrective action follow-up.
Ability to drive and operate trucks and vehicles for an extended period of time.
CPR Certified and 40-hour HAZWOPER
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and mentor a diverse team

Work Environment
This candidate is expected to come into the Stow, Ohio office daily to assist staff and project workload. Remote and work from home may occur as needed and with pre-approval from their manager. For any remote work uninterrupted home-based internet is a must in your home to attend and host video calls, along with a minimum bandwidth speed of 20 mbps.

The big picture: What our meter technicians do
Our Meter Technicians install, maintain, and repair Conservice submeters, allowing our billing team to accurately track and bill utility usage by the unit or individual apartment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Install, program, and configure submeters and related communication systems in multifamily homes, apartment complexes, and retail areas.
Perform routine maintenance and inspection of submeters to ensure accurate measurement and proper functioning.
Ensure communications systems are functioning properly and perform routine maintenance as needed.
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to submeter performance, connectivity, or data transmission.
Conduct repairs and replacements of faulty or malfunctioning submeters as needed.
Calibrate and test submeters to ensure accurate and reliable measurement of water consumption.
Regularly climb ladders and work at heights to access water submeters in ceilings or other elevated locations.
Lift and move equipment and materials weighing 50+ pounds during installation and maintenance tasks.
Collaborate with property owners, managers, and retail store staff to address questions, concerns, or complaints related to water submetering.
Educate property staff, residents, and retail employees on the operation and functionality of water submeters.
Monitor and analyze consumption data to detect anomalies, leaks, or abnormal usage patterns.
Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities as well as make required updates to communication systems.
Keep abreast of industry trends, advancements, and best practices in submetering technology.
Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures while working with water submeters.
Must hold a current, valid driver's license and have a clean driving record
Schedule:
Monday through Friday - 8 hour shifts
Saturdays may be required as needed, based on the workload.
